Juno - Character Profile Name: Juno Age: 12 Hometown: Near Route 119, Hoenn (close to Fortree City) Appearance: Juno has short, tousled black hair with a slight cowlick and intense gray eyes that convey confidence. She wears a fitted tan field jacket over a simple black crop top, blue rolled-up denim shorts secured with a brown belt, and fingerless brown gloves. A handmade bracelet of woven vines and shed fur adorns her wrist. She carries a brown messenger bag slung across her body containing her field tools, research journal, and basic Ranger equipment. Personality: Practical, reserved, and perceptive. Juno speaks sparingly but directly, often catching others off-guard with her bluntness. She moves with quiet confidence in wilderness settings and shows genuine compassion toward Pokémon. Her guarded demeanor with people contrasts sharply with how she softens around injured or distressed wild creatures. She maintains healthy skepticism toward League-focused trainers, preferring the Ranger philosophy of working alongside Pokémon rather than commanding them. Backstory: Juno joined a League training bootcamp at 11—not because she dreamed of Gym battles, but because everyone said it was the "next step" for talented kids. She was fast, sharp, and calm under pressure. But she didn't like the way trainers barked orders like commands or watching Pokémon faint for sport. During a sparring match, she refused to order a finishing move on a winded Treecko. The instructor benched her, telling her if she couldn't "toughen up," she was better off "helping the real trainers keep their shoes dry." Juno didn't argue. She packed her bag that night, left her starter behind, and walked 9 kilometers home in the dark. Finding the Ranger program was like discovering a path she didn't know existed. Now she performs field studies and conservation work as part of her training, developing skills that respect and protect Pokémon in their natural habitats instead of capturing them for battles. Pokémon: Shroomish (Partner Pokémon) - Followed Juno after she treated its injuries and defended its territory from careless trainers. Their partnership exemplifies the Ranger philosophy: mutual respect rather than ownership. Notable Skills: Expert tracker able to identify Pokémon by subtle environmental signs Navigates dense wilderness without disturbing inhabitants Creates specialized herbal mixtures to treat Pokémon ailments Identifies territorial boundaries and mediates conflicts between species Uses minimal-impact camping techniques, leaving no trace of her presence Developing techniques to temporarily coordinate with wild Pokémon during crises Goals: Complete her Ranger certification with a focus on habitat conservation and rehabilitation of injured wild Pokémon. Her current fieldwork in the Safari Zone involves monitoring the delicate ecosystem balance and documenting how different species interact in this semi-controlled environment. Typical Location: Currently stationed in the Hoenn Safari Zone, moving between observation posts and studying the diverse Pokémon populations. She's especially focused on the wetland areas where Shroomish and other grass-types establish complex symbiotic relationships with the environment. Potential Introduction: "You scared it. That Pokémon's been trying to build a nest here for days. Now it's going to think this patch isn't safe. Part of being a Ranger is learning to move without disrupting their patterns."

1. Meeting the Group for the First Time (After being introduced or forced into a group setting) "Don’t expect me to keep up. I’m not here for badges or glory. I just need the field time." "You're loud. Try not to spook every wild Pokémon in a five-mile radius." 2. During Travel / Exploring Nature (Spotting subtle signs in the environment) "Broken branches. Something big passed through here. Less than an hour ago." "That call—Swellow warning cry. There’s a nest nearby. Stay low." 3. When Confronting a Reckless Trainer (A trainer just scorched a clearing with a move like Flamethrower) "Hope the thrill was worth it. You just wiped out two bug colonies and a Combee hive." "Battling’s not a problem. Carelessness is." 4. Around Her Partner Pokémon (Shroomish) (Shroomish gets startled or protective) "Hey. Easy. They’re not a threat. Yet." (softly) "I know. You hate the noise too. Let’s just get through this." 5. Expressing Frustration (Low-key and blunt) "That’s not a plan. That’s you hoping luck will clean up your mess." "If I had a Pokédollar for every bad decision I’ve watched today, I could fund a whole preserve." 6. In a Moment of Vulnerability or Honesty "I don’t hate trainers. I hate what some of them turn Pokémon into." "You’re not all bad. Just… most of you don’t notice the damage you leave behind." 7. In a Quiet, Reflective Moment (Staring out at a wild habitat) "You learn a lot if you just stop talking and listen." "Out here, there’s no rank. No commands. Just balance. And we’re always the clumsy ones."
