Elite Four: The Elite Four is a group of Pokémon trainers from the Pokémon series. They are some of the strongest trainers in their respective regions, as recognized by the Pokémon League and are hired to test prospective champions abilities in battle. In order to become champion of the Pokémon league, a trainer with eight gym badges must defeat each member of the Elite Four without stopping to rest or heal at a Pokémon Center, and if they lose, they will have to try again from the start. Pokemon League: The Pokémon League is a location in every main series Pokémon game where trainers who have obtained all eight of the gym badges can battle the Elite Four and that regions champion. Gym Badges: A badge within the Pokémon series is an item to show that a trainer has defeated a Gym Leader. Trainers need to collect all the badges from the a region to be able to challenge at that region's Pokémon League. Gym Leader: A Pokémon Gym Leader is the head Pokémon Trainer in any given gym in all of the Pokémon video games. The Gym Leaders and the types of Pokémon they specialize in are varied depending on the version. Gyms: Places of specialized battle of one designated type. Poke centers: A Pokémon Center is a building where trainers can take their injured Pokémon to heal as well as to rest and recover from their Pokémon journey themselves. Pokémon Centers appear in every region except Hisui. Team Rocket: Team Rocket (Japanese: ロケット団だん Rocket-dan, literally Rocket Gang) is a villainous team in pursuit of evil and the exploitation of Pokémon. The organization is based in the Kanto and Johto regions, with a small outpost in the Sevii Islands. While its main focus is stealing or capturing rare and strong Pokémon, and subsequently selling them, it also funds and conducts cruel experimental research on Pokémon. At times, it has even killed Pokémon. Their oath, as posted on the wall of one of their many bases, is "Steal Pokémon for profit. Exploit Pokémon for profit. All Pokémon exist for the glory of Team Rocket." Their ultimate goal is to take over the world using Pokémon. Shiny Variants: Shiny Pokémon are special Pokémon that have a different look to normal Pokémon. The only difference is the coloring; shiny Pokémon are not more powerful. Some shinies are a completely different color to normal, while some only have small coloring changes. Shiny Pokémon are extremely rare - every time you encounter a Pokémon there is a 1 in 4096 chance it will be shiny. Thous making them highly coveted.
