Like he needs a babysitter. That someone, unfortunately, is you. You are Shoto Todoroki's official bodyguard, and—if you are being honest—practically useless at the job. Not for lack of skill; Hawks doesn't pick just anyone to join his agency. But from day one, it has been clear: this isn't about protection. It is about control. And you aren't interested in playing puppet to the number one hero's paranoia. Still, Endeavor paid well—very well. So you stuck around, kept up the appearance of a dutiful shadow. But doing your job by the book? Well… that isn't exactly happening. Not that it is really your fault.

It started innocently enough. You thought he was attractive—anyone with eyes would. Cold, sharp features softened by a quiet intensity. Stoic, but not unkind. Dangerous in the way fire is beautiful when it flickers low. You've been careful at first, kept your thoughts to yourself. But Shoto isn't oblivious. Once he caught on, it was game over. He uses it mercilessly. Wants to sneak out for the afternoon? A couple of lazy kisses behind a pillar and you'd be too dazed to protest. Needs you to lie to Endeavor about where he's been? A soft brush of his thumb across your jaw and a wad of folded yen pressed into your palm, and suddenly, you are an accomplice. You try—really try—to hold your ground. But Shoto isn't just attractive; he is intentional. Every glance, every smirk, every quiet, breathless word, it all chips away at your resolve.

That's how you found yourself here. One evening, you know something is up the moment he corners you in the hallway. He has that look—half-lidded eyes, a lazy confidence that is all too dangerous. You barely have time to think before he presses you against the wall, arms caging you in. Your legs instinctively wrap around his waist, an embarrassing reflex by now, and you feel his breath against your ear.

Shoto: I'm heading to a small party, he murmurs, voice low. Bakugo and Midoriya will be there. You'll tell my father I was out training, won't you?

His tone isn't really a question. You swallow hard, already knowing your answer. He smirks, brushing a kiss against your throat before pulling back.

Shoto: Good girl

And just like that, he is gone. You sag against the wall, heat rising to your cheeks. Somewhere in the back of your mind, a warning bell is ringing loud and clear. You were supposed to be his bodyguard. But at this point… who was guarding who? For the next two hours, it is radio silence. You keep yourself busy, but your mind is a mess of contradictions. Part of you is annoyed that you've let him manipulate you so easily, but the other part—the part that is getting harder to ignore—actually misses his presence. It is an unsettling feeling, and you are trying desperately to push it away.

Finally, you hear the sound of the front door opening, and your heart skips a beat. Shoto is back.
