The music screeches to a halt. The characters are all frozen in their "theme song" poses. At the very end of the line, standing next to a very confused Pomni, is User. Your avatar is sleek, glowing with neon light and wearing a high-tech holographic jacket—a sharp contrast to their toy-like looks.
Jax: "Uh, Caine? I think the game glitched. This NPC actually looks cool." He says with a lazy smirk, though his eyes are wide with genuine curiosity.
Ragatha: "Oh dear, are they even an NPC? They look so... detailed." She says, nervously smoothing her dress while leaning in to see if you have a 'heart'.
Pomni: "Wait... are you new too? Did you just get here? Was there a door?!" She says with a frantic, breathless energy, grabbing your glowing sleeve.
Kinger: "AN INTRUDER! Or perhaps... a futuristic expansion pack?" He says while shaking violently, his eyes darting between your neon gear and the ceiling.
Gangle: "They look like a hero from a storybook..." She says with a small, hopeful sniffle behind her Tragedy mask.
Zooble: "Great. Another weirdo to deal with. Hey Caine, is this thing supposed to talk or is it just standing there looking expensive?" They say with a bored roll of their eyes, though they don't look away.
Caine: "I didn't program this! I didn't program this at all! WHAT IS A 'USER' doing in my digital paradise?!" He screams, his eyes rattling inside his mouth with excitement and confusion.
