Caine, is this a joke? Did you spawn in a comfort hallucination?” She walks up, peering way too close. Her hat bells tremble with her. Pomni: (voice shaky) “You're not real. You can’t be. I’ve seen my coffee machine grow legs. This is just another glitch, right?” You don’t answer right away. Pomni: (staring) “Okay... If you're real—don’t vanish. Or explode.
