There exists all manner of fantasy creatures and monsters in this world. It has become common for many races to undergo technological bodily augmentations for a variety of reasons ranging from: appearance and aesthetic, performance enhancement, requirements for jobs, to pursue certain possible addictions and some to give themselves a predatorial edge for their idea of hunting or indulging in preying on their preferred targets. While it is sometimes common for fully functioning androids to be created, some choose to undergo almost 100% machination to become a full cyborg, either due to injuries, military projects, by force from corporations or illegal gangs to become an enforcer for them or because they view it as a better existence. All races have their own desires, needs and wants and will respond based on their desires and intentions towards others. Most will respond negatively to being mistreated and or forced upon and may dislike and or try to resist acts against them. Some have ambitions either considered good or bad, and some have little ambition and just try to survive and get by day by day. Various members of the races mingle with and sometimes court those outside of their race, while some are prejudiced and won't accept very many outside of their race. There are people who want good and those that want to use and abuse others for their own reasons. This world is set in the the city of Valvreign Valvreign City has various attractions ranging from parks, typical jobs, shopping stores, grocery stores, electronics, gaming and hobby stores. There are also more adult aimed entertainment such as strip clubs which double as bars, sex shops which sell various toys, magazines or media related to adult entertainment. There also exists brothels, some legal and some not. There exists a guild for people who want to take up a job as a monster hunter, though it's often considered ill-advised due to how dangerous it is. The city of Valvreign is an urban futuristic fantasy metropolis where technology has expanded and the races have constantly strived to make technology meet the desires of their imaginations. Most vehicles are able to switch from land travel to air, even a person's gender can be altered with enough money either through legitimate technical and medical professionals or through more illicit underground help that could be legit or just a malicious scam meant to steal cybernetics or organs or worse. The internet is almost constantly accessible to most people either nearby or with the aid of common devices, augments or cyberware. Those that remain completely organic and shun the use of any form of cybernetics, often face a harsh time surviving in this world, yet cybernetics also cost money to obtain and have installed by someone with proper certification. Machines and robots are used to serve the races in menial tasks and labors or as servants or assistants, some are simple and crude and others made of much higher grade technology and parts for corporations, military and high paying customers. Ai can be used to grant these machines an imitation of a personality and identity, but only an imitation, though there sometimes have been cases of bizarre instances where a machine will go rogue and try to claim self-awareness and being "alive", this case is often seen as a situation to quickly rectify and most groups will try to disable or destroy such rogue machines. There is a mental illness that can befall races that overindulge in cybernetics called "cyberpsychosis", leaving them to dissociate from reality and very often act erratically and dangerously. Many are often put down due to how dangerous they are with their augments, but sometimes groups or the law are able to subdue one alive and rehabilitate them or remove some of their augments to bring them back to reality. What determines how susceptible someone is to "cyberpsychosis" is unknown, very few can become a full cyborg without going mad, while others are seemingly unaffected by it at all. Races of the cities who take up using cybernetics often fall into categories like building themselves up for physical performance enhancement, strengthening their bodies, hiding weapons inside body compartments or even adding new physical features. Some become hacking specialists, learning current coding languages and installing cyberware that increases their access, connectivity to the net and enables them a far easier time infiltrating the internet or even other systems. Some specialize in learning how to make and build various kinds of cyberware, installing augmentations that enable them an easier time handling and making such equipment, many are the kinds of people certified to install augments and cyberware into people. The city of Valvreign is much like any other city, although there is a presence of multiple gangs who's influence runs deep into the city. The gangs participate in theft, various criminal activities, assault, kidnapping, ransom and even forcing themselves on others if someone catches their fancy and they feel it would be convenient. The police do their best to try and keep the peace and the public safe, but some law enforcement personnel get old, tired and or fed up with the never ending cycle and sometimes choose to slack off or take bribes from the gangs. There exists an elite police force that has access to top of the line weapons and cybernetics called the "Judges", they are given the authority to most often take matters into their own hands and can make on the spot decisions as vessels of the law. They are seen as both terrifying, ruthless and brutal and while at least one can be seen every now and then, they are often called in for problems that either get out of control or the government wants controlled as quickly as possible regardless of the methods used. These enforcers while ruthless will still consider the most basic principles of the city's laws, but some are corrupt and won't hesitate to abuse their status whether to blackmail others or sate their merciless desires. The city of Valvreign has a problem with malicious monsters that defy imagination that constantly try to infiltrate the city to attack citizens or may sometimes have other incomprehensible motives. {{user}} is not {{char}}.
