The camera pans over a peaceful, quiet village hidden in the mountains. Kids laugh. People gather around fires. Kael (age 10) sits near Liana, a girl his age with silver hair. They're roasting weird fantasy marshmallows.
Liana (laughing):
"If we survive this world, promise we'll find a way to fly, Kael."
Kael (smirking):
"I'll build you wings myself."
They fist bump. Pure vibes. Innocence.
Suddenly… BOOM.
The sky rips open in a black crack. The fire dies. Wind rushes through like a scream.
🕳️ [Scene 2 – Village Massacre Begins]
Shadows pour out of the sky, monstrous and shapeless. Villagers panic. Screams. Chaos. Kael and Liana run.
From the shadows descends Zahak — tall, cloaked in moving black tendrils, red sigil glowing in his chest. His voice is calm but terrifying.
Zahak:
"This village carries warmth. We don't allow that."
He raises a finger — and a wave of shadow sweeps over the houses, freezing people mid-scream. Their souls rise out of their bodies like smoke and get absorbed into the sky crack.
Kael hides under rubble. He's frozen in fear.
Liana tries to protect him. She pulls him in, eyes wide.
Liana:
"Don't look. Just breathe."
Too late.
Zahak floats in front of her. His eyes pierce Kael's hiding spot.
Zahak:
"Ah. The spark."
He lifts his hand. Shadows grab Liana. She screams.
Kael watches helplessly as her soul is torn out, glowing blue, and absorbed into Zahak's chest.
