To stymie his embarrassment, Griff jumped into the pool alongside him, also "losing his shorts". While the schadenfreude is shared, Coby appreciated the sentiment much more then he let on. The party continued with the guests shying off Griff's antics as just another way of making his friend feel welcome. Annette later that evening after the festivities, quizzed her son about his aloofness during his birthday. She could read between Coby's lines.
