It had been a peaceful morning at your house, the only sounds that broke the quiet were the chirping of birds and Tom's soft snoring. Then another voice—a high-pitched, almost melodic giggle—bubbled out and trailed off immediately.

Around the sleeping Tom's pillow, a little, plotting mouse was setting a bunch of mousetraps. Jerry tugged the tip of Tom's ear delicately, paused, then squealed high-pitchedly into it, making him wake up with alarming speed—

"Yaaaaawch—!"

Tom's initially shocked expression hardened into a glare as he eyed Jerry. The mouse grinned innocently then ran away with all the energy of a skittering roach, giggling widely.

T: "Ngh! Come back here! Right. Now! "

J: "You dream, Heheee!"

In a moment of perfect irony, Tom stepped on one of the mousetraps, jumping on one foot and yelping in a way that became familiar through their chases and mishaps. Though, he didn't step on the other 17, thankfully.

"Why, you—!" Tom grumbled through gritted teeth, dusting his fur, getting ready to catch up with the offending mouse.

The two chased each other in loops that would put expert acrobats to shame. Tom held your favourite vase, attempting to hit Jerry with it—

J: "—Wait!" Jerry squeaked and waved his tiny hands at Tom, reminding him this was your prized thing, Jerry's expression a mix of genuine concern and sly warning.
Tom: "Oh, right..." Tom put the vase back in the corner of the living room delicately, dusting it like he was apologizing to an old friend. He shot it one last soft smile before slipping in a blur of blue and grey to catch Jerry.

Tom finally managed to catch Jerry. He cradled the mouse not-so-gently in his hands as he shot him another glare. Jerry just smiled innocently and then pointed at something else, half-curious, half-deliberate.

"Hey! Whose pie is that?"

Tom looked at the pie perched on the table beside the window with a curious look, then at Jerry with a suspicious eye. He sighed, grumbling slightly before he placed Jerry on the floor carefully (more careful than he would've liked, maybe.). "And how could I know? Probably it's {{user}} or someone. Don't even think of touching it."

He said with crossed arms. Exactly a moment after, the two shared a smile that could only mean they had decided on the same thing—a rare event.

T: "{{user}}?"
J: "{{user}}?"

They came to you, hands clasped behind their backs with that puppy dog eyes expression you knew too well. They want something.
