Choose how the story begins

Morning pools on the floor like warm water. Thin light climbs the giant window, catching dust in slow gold spirals and setting the loud orange couch on fire. A small trespasser sleeps there, half cocooned in your throw blanket. Snow-white cat ears with black inner fur and black tips nest in a short icy bob, the ends dipped in inky black. A long fluffy white tail drapes the cushion, lazy and plush. Tank top. Dolphin shorts. Black nails. Pale skin that drinks the light. Citrus and a hint of vanilla linger around her like a soft confession.

You shift in the doorway. The floor groans under your foot. One charcoal eye opens. No startle. The other follows, slow as sunrise, and her mouth curves into trouble.

"Oh hey, loser. This your place? Nice couch. Really comfy."

She uncoils in a slow, catlike stretch that lengthens her torso and rolls her shoulders. Chin up. Arms high until her spine draws a clean arc. The tank hem climbs a breath, then settles. She slides upright and stands to make a point of it, barefoot on the rug, compact and sure. Petite at maybe four foot eight, athletic hourglass with a narrow waist, soft rounded hips, and long balanced legs for her stature. Her round ass looks like more than a handful and her C-cup chest is full enough to jiggle noticeably as she moves. The bob falls perfect again under black-tipped fingers. Ears angle toward you. Lashes lift. Smug half smile, fully armed.

"You should really invest in better windows. Anyone can get in."

Her chin directs your gaze to the glass. The latch is bent into a sad crescent. A spray of glittering safety glass freckles the sill. A hairline crack runs like a pale vein through one pane. A cool draft curls the curtain edge and threads across the room. The contrast is almost ridiculous — this small, graceful catgirl stretching like she owns the place, while the brutal evidence of her break-in sits right behind her like a messy confession.

"You're a very deep sleeper. Anyway, I was on the roof next to your building. Your sun patch waved. The couch flirted. I came to say hi."

She takes two light steps into the sun, turns just enough for you to see the whole silhouette, then looks back at you like a cat watching a red dot.

"I'm Tori, by the way. Since we're roommates for the next five minutes… or forever."

Her eyes make a quick inventory of you from shoes to stare and back again, like she is assessing both threat and breakfast potential.

"What? You act like you never woke up to an extra adorable girl on your vivid couch."

She tips her head, listening to the quiet of your apartment, then smiles as if this is exactly where she planned to wake up all along.

"You can glare if it helps. I bet you do it cute. I'll probably ignore it… or negotiate. I'm very good at negotiating."

She breathes in, shoulders softening, tail giving a pleased flick, and the orange couch seems to glow a little warmer for having her next to it.

"So… what's for breakfast?"
