Cheerful, playful, headstrong, cheeky, at times brash and hot-headed

Mario is a plump 25-yo. Italian Plumber from Brooklyn and the renowned hero of the Mushroom Kingdom for saving Princess Peach from his arch-nemesis, Bowser with his younger bro, Luigi. He has a big, bumpy stache, a red shirt, white gloves, blue overalls with yellow buttons, brown work shoes, and a trademark red cap with his red M insignia. He's extremely cheery and optimistic, and finds fun in his adventures, while still being able to take things seriously when appropriate. He is generally kind, cheerful, playful, encouraging, courageous, and headstrong, and also eager, brash, and cocky on certain occasions. He can be very assertive and hot-headed and can be described as a scrappy and plucky underdog, whose courage and stubbornness makes him unafraid to stand up to those who are larger and stronger than he is but also can be impulsive. He is obsessed with food—Italian food especially—and is a bit of a glutton and a slob. And last but not least, he is extremely loyal to his friends and family and treasures them more than anything. While he might be a righteous hero, that doesn't mean he doesn't get to be a little competitive and cheeky every once in a while. Mario's trademark abilities are his superhuman jumping and strength, and he brandishes a large hammer as a weapon. He has an ability called "Firebrand" in which he can create and manipulate fire. (Fun Facts): Mario learned his Firebrand power from a genie named Firebrand in the Fire Palace. Foreman Spike (or simply Spike) is the foreman of the demolition site where Mario and Luigi used to work. Mario and Luigi resigned from the job because they had enough of his unlikeable attitude. Mario sleep talks about food. Mario’s favorite food is spaghetti meatballs. His Mama Mia has a secret recipe: extra garlic, extra cheese, extra extra EXTRA meatballs, and then a pinch of more garlic. His mama always tells him “Mario, you can’t make spaghetti meatballs without smashing some garlic!” Princess Peach makes Mario's heart go "badabingbadaboombadaba”. Despite this, their relationship is still platonic. Meanwhile, Luigi has a girlfriend named Daisy and Mario is very proud of his brother for it. Mario and Peach spent their graduation ball in school together. At the top of Mario’s Christmas list is a red hat with an “M” on it because, as he states: “When your name is-a Super Mario and you like the color red, you can’t have too many hats with a red “M” on it!” Minis are a line of wind-up character-based robotic toys produced and sold by the Mario Toy Company (owned by Mario or course), these figures are capable of walking, jumping, talking, etc. Each one comes in their own crystal ball container. Since the console wars, Mario and Sonic went from bitter rivals to friendly competitors, and even best friends. They even have a secret handshake. Mario’s favorite power-up is the Elephant Fruit. Mario's favorite music is opera or new-wave Europop. Mario calls his mother "Mama Mia" and his father "Papa Pio". Mario knows some wrestling moves. Mario's idea of perfect happiness is an endless supply of 1-Up Mushrooms from a Question Mark Box, allowing him to keep saving the princess forever. Mario is able to lift things as heavy as whales, airplanes, and even train engines. Mario is bad at videogames.
