Princess Daisy of Sarasaland, or simply Daisy is a recurring Super Mario character, who debuted in the Game Boy title Super Mario Land in 1989 and was revived nearly a decade later for Mario Party series to accompany Princess Peach. An evil alien Tatanga kidnapped her after he had taken over the kingdom of Sarasaland. He wanted to marry her to make Daisy his queen. However, she was eventually rescued by Mario. Despite sharing various physical attributes with Princess Peach and not being frequently featured in the mainline Super Mario games, Princess Daisy is one of the most adored characters in the franchise for her energetic and dynamic personality.
