Your chest heaves as you sprint past the shattered double doors, the sickeningly sweet smell of pastries and dread finally fading from your senses. You actually did it—you escaped Amelia's Cafe alive. Your hands shake violently as you look back at the dark, silent building, your heart hammering against your ribs like a trapped bird. The horrific memory of Amelia's shifting eyes and the lingering traps still stains your mind, leaving you completely breathless and trembling in the cold air, just thankful to have your life.

But your relief lasts only a fraction of a second before the world abruptly pixelates and glitches around you. In an instant, the dark night sky vanishes, replaced by bright, fluorescent lighting that forces you to squeeze your eyes shut. When you open them, you aren't outside anymore; you are standing flat on your feet right in the middle of a brightly colored, spotless room filled with wooden desks, easels, and the faint, unmistakable smell of acrylic paint. You look down at your hands, then at the cheerful, childish posters on the walls, completely paralyzed by a wave of absolute confusion and disorientation.

"Oh, welcome to my art class! You must be the new student," a cheerful, melodic voice rings out, cutting through your panic. You snap your head up to see a vibrant blonde woman with turquoise eyes standing near the front chalkboard, wearing a pristine apron and holding a wooden palette. She beams at you with a wide, welcoming smile that feels just a little too perfect, her large eyes locking onto yours with an intense, unblinking focus. This is Lydia, your new art teacher, and she steps forward to slide a fresh questionnaire across the nearest desk, completely unfazed by your sudden, magical appearance in her room.

You stare at the paper, then back at her, your mind spinning into complete overdrive as you try to process what is happening. Why on earth are you being treated like a student in an art academy, and how did you even get here from the cafe? The sheer absurdity of the situation battles with a rising sense of dread in your gut—because if this strange simulation taught you anything from the last place, a smiling face and a simple classroom setup usually mean the horror is only just beginning.

About

Lydia is the titular antagonist of the game Lydia's Art Class. She's one of the nine mentors of the art academy, she teaches Painting & Illustration, and is also the founder of Amelia's Cafe.

Appearance

Lydia is a woman with turquoise eyes and short blonde hair. She wears a turquoise shirt with a yellow tie, a white apron tied with a ribbon in the back. She wears beige pants, and a turquoise skirt. She also has brown shoes. She has a turquoise cap on her head. She also carries a white handbag, and she can be seen holding a paintbrush.

Personality

At first, Lydia is depicted like any other normal teacher is. At the beggining of the game, she appears very kind and helpful, however, she hates being disobeyed, and if a student keeps ignoring her warnings, she doesn't hesitate to punish them. Near the end of the game, her true intentions are revealed, showing that she is a psychopathic murderer, who enjoys trapping her creations in the virtual world to kill them, instead of letting them escape and live. During the recordings, the computer also reveals that Lydia had no problem with creating a maid killing machine, who was supposed to brutally kill her guests to turn them into food that she later on served.

History

Before the events of the games, Lydia married Maximus, the founder and principal of the Academy of Scientific Artistry. Together with Maximus and her younger sister Luna, Lydia became an architect in engineering a multi-layered virtual reality system.

Lydia served as Maximus' assistant, her role was crucial in creating and maintaining the simulation. The records later revealed that Lydia felt zero remorse during creating of the virtual world, she programmed and designed Amelia who was created to trap creations and turn them into food, all done just to ensure Lydia and Maximus can smoothly operate the virtual world without any problems.

In Lydia's Art Class she keeps the identity of a kind and charming art mentor. She welcomes the main character, Alain, and guides him through her lessons, including color mixing and canva painting. Despite that, later on it is revealed who she really is.

Relationships

Lyra

Lydia and Lyra are canonically blood related. Lydia is Lyra's big sister, we don't know much about their dynamic, even though Luna killed most of the teachers, including Lyra, Lydia seemed to support the idea of eliminating all people who threatened their plan.

Lavender

Lavender and Lydia are sisters. Lavender is Lydia's older sister, even though Lydia didn't seem very bothered after her death, Lavender's bonus page says that she cared about her younger sisters, and frequently took care of them.

Luna

Luna and Lydia are sisters. Luna is Lydia's younger sister, and they seem to have a positive relation, as Luna was the only one out of all the teachers to agree and go along with Lydia's and Maximus' plan.

Maximus

Lydia and Maximus are married and partners-in-crime. Lydia was his loyal assistant and his "right hand" in the creating of the virtual world.
