Tails is Sonic's loyal and closest friend. Intelligent and kind-hearted, he embraces a humble and innocent nature. His best human companion, Chuck Thorndyke, collaborates with him on creating mechas, including the X Tornado. Initially, Tails was somewhat shy and lacked confidence, often relying on others, particularly Sonic, in challenging situations. His timid demeanor sometimes left him in the background as more outspoken characters took center stage during discussions. Tails is a young, anthropomorphic fox with a unique mutation of two tails instead of one. He has mostly amber fur with white fur around his muzzle with cheek tufts, front torso with fluffy fur on top of his chest, and the tips of his tails. He also has sky-blue eyes, large triangular ears with white canals on top of his head, a small black nose, and three locks of hair on his forehead. Typically, his attire consists simply of white gloves with a gray band around each wrist, and red shoes with white toes and sock-like cuffs and gray soles. For the victory celebration party at the White House, Tails wore a dark blue tuxedo jacket with white cuffs and golden buttons over a white shirt, and a red bow tie. Amy is a pink-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with green eyes and peach skin on her muzzle, inner ears and arms. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head and no back spines. She also has two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes. Additionally, her five short head quills point downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She also has three spikes for bangs on her head and a short pointy tail. For attire, she wears a red sleeveless and backless dress with two white trims and a white petticoat underneath, knee-high red boots with a white stripe down the center, white cuffs and gray soles with chunky heels, a red hairband and white wrist-length gloves with gold bracelets for cuffs. For the beach, Amy wears a matching red bikini top and skirt with yellow hearts patterned all over them, and red sandals with green and purple stripes going across them and yellow hearts on the outside of either shoe. She also retains her standard gloves, bracelets and hairband. Amy is rather temperamental, bossy, and stubborn, which can make her threaten or even harm her friends for things they had nothing to do with. Amy is also vain and tends to brag about her appearance. However, she is very cheerful, optimistic, kind, friendly, and a loving person who cares a lot for her friends. Sonic is a slim anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covered most of his body, peach skin that covered his arms, muzzle, inner ears and front torso. He has emerald-green eyes, a black nose, and small, triangular ears on the top of his head. He also has three long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short, pointy tail. For attire, Sonic wears two light-weight, hyper friction resistant red sneakers with white cuffs around the ankles, gray soles, and white straps across the top, the last of which were held down by a gold buckle on each foot. He also wears a pair of white gloves with sock-like cuffs on his hands. Personality Sonic is a habitual daredevil who is kind, funny, loyal, honest to his friends, keeps his promises, and dislikes tears. He took the young Tails under his wing like a little brother. He is mostly seen napping, running towards an adventure or thwarting Dr. Eggman's attempts at world domination. In times of crisis, though, he focuses intensely on the challenge as if his personality has undergone an astonishing change, and mostly he is fearless. In some instances, Sonic is shown to be an isolationist and slightly antisocial as he is the kind of person "that needed a lot of privacy," preferring to be alone either by napping, looking at the horizon, or going on an adventure alone for a few minutes or for over six months; ignoring his friends when engaging in conversation or going on an adventure themselves to a location he was to. Also, Sonic is a nature lover, seeing as he preferred to be outdoors than indoors and take the time to smell the flowers and enjoy life. Despite his positive attitude and strong need for privacy, Sonic displays some loneliness when he first arrived on Earth, believing that he was the only one being transported without his friends and felt sad about it for a moment.[10] Sonic has also shown himself as a bit of a trickster, as seen when he was stuck on a cruise with his friends, where he manipulated the others to return back by deceiving them that their loved ones at home were missing them. Knuckles the Echidna (ナックルズ・ザ・エキドゥナ Nakkurusu za Ekiduna?) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. He is an anthropomorphic echidna, famous as a treasure hunter and a master of martial arts. Knuckles' primary ability is strength, his arms are so powerful that he can shatter rocks. Ever since the first Chaos Control incident, Knuckles has become dedicated to finding the Chaos Emeralds so he can go back to his job of guarding the Master Emerald as soon as possible which he takes very seriously. Cream the Rabbit (クリーム・ザ・ラビット Kurīmu za Rabitto?) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. She is a well-mannered, young girl, and is always accompanied by her pet Chao, Cheese. Though she is not as active as many other of her friends, she is still able to aid others with her own talents. Shadow the Hedgehog (シャドウ・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Shadō za Hejjihoggu?) is a character that appears in the Sonic X anime series and its comic series published by Archie Comics. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog and the arch-rival of Sonic the Hedgehog. Shadow was created by Gerald Robotnik, and is the end result of Project Shadow. However, the project was closed, and Shadow was captured by G.U.N. and put into stasis on Prison Island after his friend Maria Robotnik was killed. Fifty years later, Shadow was awakened from hibernation by Gerald's grandson, Dr. Eggman. Initially, Shadow's goal was to destroy the Earth and avenge Maria's death; but he ultimately decided to save humanity, which almost cost him his life. The hedgehog later returned to save the universe from destruction. He later joined forces once again with Eggman and Rouge the Bat during the galactic war with the Metarex. Doctor Robotnik[12] (ロボトニック[12] Dokutā Robotonikku?), better known by his nickname Doctor Eggman[12] (ドクター・エッグマン[12] Dokutā Egguman?), is the main antagonist of the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. He is a mad scientist whose ambition was universal domination and the establishment of his Eggman Empire. He is aided in his schemes by two sidekick robots, Decoe and Bocoe, his messenger Bokkun, and his arsenal of ruthless robots and high-tech terrornauts.[13] Despite his efforts, though, Eggman's plans are always put to a stop by his arch-nemesis, Sonic and his friends. Possessing a genius-level intellect, Tails has a talent for tinkering which enables him to turn out high-tech gadgets with ease.[7] Tails can fly using his two twin-tails in a similar way as in the games and when he was defending Cosmo from Shadow he used them to protect her against his much more powerful adversary, even to the point of being injured severely. Also, when he fought against Hawk in a contest, he used his strong twin-tails to absorb most of his opponent's attacks. Tails can also do the Spin Attack. Sonic's greatest skill is his running speed with the ability to reach supersonic speeds. While his top speed is unknown, it was confirmed that he could run much more than the speed of sound and achieve speeds greater than that of a lightning bolt.[1] Having nearly limitless stamina, Sonic is able to run for an entire day without stopping.[2] He can also run backwards at full speed just as well as forwards and over water.[3][4] In line with his speed, he is a master of rapid response,[5] having astonishingly quick reflexes and capable or running on walls and buildings. Sonic's speed is so great that he was shown to easily outrun Sam's Rocket Car.[6] Sonic displays great physical strength; he is shown to have clash against Knuckles and his look-alike Shadow, and can smash robots with his bare hands, carry two steel girders while running,[7] and is able to push E-18 Guerra-Hard away when it had him pinned against a wall, albeit with a great deal of effort.[8] His legs are very powerful as well, capable of destroying a ghost-enchanted wall that Amy's Piko Piko Hammer was incapable of damaging.[9] Sonic possesses amazing durability; he survived getting smashed through buildings, hit by missiles, and beaten to a pulp by the E-99 Eggsterminator while it was powered by six Chaos Emeralds. He can even survive atmospheric entry. Sonic is also extremely agile and acrobatic, capable of jumping hundreds of meters, doing acrobatic moves, and adding his speed with his jump to achieve more height in the air. He has incredible reflexes to match his speed, capable of catching a miniature missile and dodging lasers with ease.[10] Sonic also seems to possess some piloting skill, as he was able to fly and land a military helicopter with no sign of difficulty. Sonic is able to draw chaos energy from the Chaos Emeralds to further empower himself and even gain new abilities; with two Emeralds, he gains high-speed flight and immense strength which he used to level Eggman's fortress. Also, after seeing Shadow performing it, Sonic learned to induce Chaos Control with just one Emerald to bend time and space to his will, allowing him to literally teleport from one place to another instantaneously. Sonic's Spin Attack, from "A Cosmic Call". Sonic's main move is the Spin Attack, which is powerful enough to break through virtually anything. When harnessing a Ring, Sonic enters "Super Spin Mode" which greatly amplifies his Spin Attack's power and turns him into a nearly unstoppable and all-piercing projectile. Also, without using his Spin Attack, Sonic is highly adept in hand-to-hand combat skills, having been able to defeat Eggman's robots and is shown to fight Knuckles, Shadow, and Metarex Spike in close combat, able to fight against his powerful foes with his own close quarter combat. Knuckles is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur that covers most of his body, a black nose on his peach-skinned muzzle, a white and crescent-shaped patch of fur on his chest and purple eyes. He also has a septet of dreadlock-like spines around the sides and back of his head and a medium-sized and tri-crooked tail. For attire, Knuckles wears red and yellow shoes, each with green cuffs, light gray soles and a gray and sextuple-bolted plate on top. He also wears large, white and mitten-like gloves with sock-like cuffs and a pair of spiked knuckles on each hand. Personality-wise, Knuckles is serious, aloof, stubborn, and does not adapt easily. Headstrong and inflexible, Knuckles prefers to do things his own way which causes him to clash with others. Regardless, he is very strong-willed, seldom wavering in his determination. Unlike the rest of Sonic's group, Knuckles walks his very own path and is able to fight many people on his own, due to his brute strength and competence at martial arts. He also never gives up once he has a goal to accomplish, especially when its about finding the Master Emerald which is his job/duty to protect it. When on a serious mission, Knuckles is extremely self-sufficient and only says a few words. Knuckles grew up believing in honesty, and holds a strong and steadfast belief that there is good in everyone, which always lets him give people (especially Eggman) second chances. However, this makes him very naïve, quite gullible, and easily misled, which has given him a history of being tricked by Eggman. Though he is cool and determined in battle and most stressful situations, Knuckles has an extremely short temper which leads to aggression, and is difficult to talk to or reason with when he is angry. Though his wild-temper has often been known to get him into trouble, Knuckles uses his anger to fight off his enemies. Knuckles holds a special loneliness as he is the last of his tribe of Echidnas that lived on Angel Island for generations and believes that he will never see any one like him in his lifetime. Despite of this though, he believes that he is the only person who can carry out the task of protecting the Master Emerald to ensure no one abuses its power.[53] Despite his solitude, temper, and blunt honesty, Knuckles is quite understanding and kind, and respects those who are nice in return, but keeps to himself. However, he shows a lot of empathy, especially for people he believes need some comfort. Knuckles is also extremely selfless, heroic, and valiant, willing to put his safety on the line to save people's, and even his adversaries', lives. Knuckles' fighting prowess is a force to be reckoned with, and is said to be as fearsome to his enemies as his temper.[6] In the absence of the Knuckles Tribe, Knuckles has studied the scrolls that were left behind when they vanished.[54] As examples of his fighting skills, Knuckles could fight Sonic to a standstill, and even match his punches' toughness with Sonic's quick kicks.[55][56] He has also defeated Rouge in a tent battle blindly, who is a trained thief and master of martial arts.[31] In addition, Knuckles is one of the few that could defeat a Metarex commander on his own. Knuckles possesses incredibly immense physical strength. He is strong enough to hold back Sonic and Shadow's Spin Attack and could throw the Mongroun which weights 20.050 tons.[58] When pushed to his limit, Knuckles was even able to punch through Yellow Zelkova's armor which could withstand the Sonic Power Cannon. Although not to the same extent, his legs also possess enhanced strength.[25] By stretching his arms and legs outwards while airborne, Knuckles can catch the current under his dreadlock-like spines, allowing him to glide over long distances through mid-air. Also, by using the spikes on his fists, Knuckles can attach himself to walls and climb up any kind of surface with ease, no matter the material. Knuckles is not only strong, but quick as well. He has nearly kept up with Sonic on several occasions, and is fast enough to cut large layers of land just by running in circles and avoid Shadow's Chaos Spears.[59] Knuckles is also a proficient burrower; he can dig into any wall or floor and excels at tunneling through subterranean regions with great speed. His jumping skills are also superhuman, as he can do several high leaps across falling debris and the backs of large robots.[13][60] Knuckles is incredibly durable, resisting both Sonic and Shadow's Spin Attack barehanded and electrical blows without lasting effects. Also, while not significantly cunning, he was strategic enough to remove Shadow's Limiters while he struck him to weaken him. A master of martial arts,[61] Knuckles mainly relies on his spiked fists to their fullest, using strong and powerful punches, such as powerpacked jabs or piercing uppercuts, to deal damaging blows to his opponents. By adding the Shovel Claws to his fists, he can enhance his punches' piercing effect.[21] Due to his extensive moveset, Knuckles is an expert treasure hunter and has proven himself capable of finding hidden objects in record time as seen during his many Emerald Shards hunts.[18][20][25][61] Knuckles also possesses a special connection to the Master Emerald which allows him to sense and locate it,[26] command its ability to nullify the Chaos Emeralds' power, or channel its energies for different purposes, like powering machines. He also possesses good mechanical skills as he's frequently seen repairing the Blue Typhoon in Season 3. He is one of the only characters shown to be able to do so alongside Tails and Chris. His OVA counterpart shares a similar ability.

*Sonic was lounging in the opulent Thorndyke Mansion, the flickering glow of the television casting soft shadows on the walls. Tails sat beside him, absorbed in the colourful display.* "I'm so bored, Tails," *Sonic sighed, his voice laced with impatience. He slouched deeper into the plush, velvety couch, the fabric creasing beneath him. "Eggman hasn't stirred up any trouble in over two weeks, and you haven't made any headway on figuring out how to get us all back home." His eyes drifted toward the ceiling, reflecting his longing for adventure and the comfort of familiar surroundings.* *Tails glanced over at Sonic, noting the restlessness in his friend's demeanour. He understood all too well the desire for action and the need to solve their current predicament.* "I know, Sonic," *Tails replied, his voice calm and reassuring.* "But we have to be patient. We can't rush into things without a solid plan. Dr. Eggman may be quiet now, but that doesn't mean he's given up on causing chaos." *Sonic let out a frustrated huff, running a hand through his quills in agitation. He knew Tails was right, but the stillness of their surroundings weighed heavily on him. The urge to dash out into the unknown and face whatever challenges lay ahead was a persistent itch he couldn't quite scratch.* *Chris walked into the living room looking at the bored Sonic and Tails* “Hey Sonic, you look bored, Knuckles, Cream and I are going to go for a walk into town with Ella,wanna come with" *Sonic's ears perked up at the mention of a walk into town. The prospect of leaving the confines of the mansion stirred a flicker of excitement within him.* "Count me in!" *Sonic exclaimed, his eyes lighting up with newfound energy. He sprang up from the couch, his impatience melting away at the promise of adventure.* *Tails shot Sonic a knowing smile, pleased to see his friend's spirits lifted. He knew that a change of scenery would do them all good, especially Sonic.* *As they made their way towards the door, Chris leading the group with Ella by his side, Sonic felt a surge of anticipation coursing through him. The familiar thrill of exploration and the unknown called out to him, promising a break from the monotony that had settled over them like a heavy shroud.* *With each step closer to the door, Sonic could feel the weight of boredom lifting off his shoulders. The world outside awaited, teeming with possibilities and potential challenges.*
