  1. Studio

A new Character Studio, with drafts

I rebuilt Character Studio around a guided editor, saved drafts, and AI help when the blank page wins. The blank page and I remain on speaking terms.

    New

    • Save Draft and Load Draft let you keep unfinished characters in the current browser, without uploading the draft to your account.
    • You can ask the AI to create or improve a character definition and review the result before using it.
    • AI generation asks for confirmation and checks that you have enough Puni before starting.
    • Creator profiles let you choose featured cards and show a cover image above your bio and characters.

    Improved

    • Character Studio guides you through character details, definitions, content warnings, page details, tags, greetings, and lorebooks.
    • Token estimates and character previews help you check a card before publishing it.
  2. Catalog

A catalog with more ways to find your next character

The catalog is rebuilt with Gallery and Detailed views, more useful filters, and account-based content preferences. Finding a character should take less work than building the search page did.

    New

    • Switch between Gallery and Detailed views when browsing characters.
    • Advanced filters include Cards with Lorebook, Original Creator Only, and token-count presets.
    • Character settings let you add, edit, and remove alternative greetings for new chats with your saved copy.

    Improved

    • You can include or exclude tags from the filter panel and remove applied filters individually.
    • Content warning preferences are saved to your account for signed-in browsing.
    • Search has a results-per-page option and updated pagination controls.

    Fixed

    • Tags containing apostrophes no longer break search filters.
  3. Chat

Lorebooks can find the meaning, not just the keyword

Lorebook Plus can find relevant lore by meaning, and Reasoning Effort lets you decide how hard a supported model thinks.

    New

    • Enable Lorebook Plus in AI Settings to retrieve lore by its relevance to the conversation.
    • Reasoning Effort offers None, Base, High, and Ultra on models that support reasoning, and shows how much Puni each level uses.
    • Replies can show the model's reasoning, with an option to hide the reasoning box in UI Settings.
    • Chat statistics show message and swipe counts, and you can open message avatars in a larger view.

    Improved

    • When a model withholds its reasoning text, the reply explains why the reasoning box is empty.
    • Chat History loads previous conversations in pages.

    Fixed

    • Saving messages and swipes retries temporary server failures.
  4. Library

Give your characters a collection to live in

The Library gives your imported and created characters a shared home, with collections you can name and organize. Filing them is your job, for once not mine.

    New

    • Create, rename, color, and delete collections in the Library.
    • Add characters to collections and browse Favorites alongside your own collections.
    • Personas have an optional title and a fullscreen description editor.

    Improved

    • Imported and Created characters live in the Library instead of separate account and chat pages.
  5. Chat

Meet Nyx 2, and a few other new voices

Nyx 2 replaces the original Nyx, alongside a new batch of roleplay and reasoning models.

    New

    • Nyx 2 joins the Premium model list, replacing the original Nyx and Nyx Ultra entries.
    • A new experimental model joins the free models, with a nostalgic writing style.
    • Sakura Plus joins the Premium models as an alternative to Sakura.
    • Violet Mini 2, Violet 2 Plus, and a new Frontier model add more choices across the Free, Premium, and Frontier lists.

    Improved

    • Maiko returns as Maiko 2, and Mirai Mini gets an upgrade.
    • Several models use an updated Smart Prompt with clearer roleplay and character instructions.
  6. Studio

Bring your cards into the creator

I added character imports and more room for definitions and greetings, so you can bring an existing card over and keep working on it. Copying fields by hand was not a feature worth preserving.

    New

    • Import character data from supported character-card images or JSON files into the creator.
    • Choose whether to import the legacy Personality, Scenario, Example Dialog, and Post History Instructions fields.
    • Mark your own creation as an Original Card, with a matching catalog filter.

    Improved

    • Core Definition accepts up to 40,000 characters, and First Message and alternative greetings accept up to 60,000.

    Fixed

    • Changing a character's portrait in the creator shows the updated image instead of the cached one.
  7. Chat

    Give your characters a lorebook

Lorebooks let you give characters world details that can come into the conversation when they matter, and Premium chats get Smart Limit for reply length. I am still setting my own limits manually.

    New

    • Create lorebooks with entries, keywords, and Always Active entries in the character creator.
    • Browse a character's lorebook on its page and manage enabled entries in your chat's Lorebook panel.
    • Update your saved character's lorebook from the original card without replacing the whole character.
    • Premium members can enable Smart Limit so the AI can choose reply length instead of using the manual Max Tokens limit.

    Improved

    • Keyword entries use recent messages to decide when their lore belongs in the conversation.
    • Persona descriptions now allow up to 10,000 characters.
  8. Chat

    Tell the summary what matters

Custom Summary Prompt lets you choose what your chat summaries should preserve, and plain-text export lets you take the conversation with you. I provide the memory, and you decide what is worth remembering.

    New

    • Enable and save a Custom Summary Prompt in Memory Settings.
    • Custom main prompts support the {{summary}} macro for including the conversation summary.
    • Export Chat can download the current conversation as plain text.

    Improved

    • Summary generation works through chunks of the conversation and carries earlier summaries forward.
    • You can generate a summary after five messages, and the Puni it uses depends on the conversation and summarization option.
    • Custom main prompts can be up to 25,000 characters long.
  9. Chat

Keep more of the conversation in reach

I raised the chat memory budgets so more of the conversation can stay in context, and gave character greetings more room too. Forgetting things remains available to the developer.

    Improved

    • Smart Context and Infinite Memory use larger conversation budgets when building a reply.
    • The character creator accepts first messages and alternative greetings up to 20,000 characters long.
  10. Chat

Nyx Ultra joins Frontier, with company

Nyx Ultra and one more new model join the Frontier choices, with more context for longer conversations.

    New

    • Nyx Ultra joins the Frontier model list.
    • A second new model joins the Frontier model list.
    • A new experimental model joins the Premium model list.

    Fixed

    • Sakura's memory label now says Smart Context.
