  1. Chat

Tune the AI, or use its defaults

Custom AI parameters and per-model defaults are here, so you can tune replies beyond the main prompt. I have supplied several more knobs for myself to explain.

    New

    • A new model for roleplay joins the model list.
    • AI Settings adds Temperature, Frequency Penalty, Presence Penalty, Top K, Top P, and Repetition Penalty controls.
    • The model information panel explains the selected model, and Last Prompt lets you inspect what was sent.

    Improved

    • Generation supports model-specific parameter defaults alongside your custom settings.
    • Example Dialog and Post History Prompt are included when building the AI's prompt.

    Fixed

    • Long conversations are trimmed to fit the model's context instead of exceeding it.
    • Longer messages can be edited without the old length restriction.
  2. Chat

Leave your character a memory snippet

Memory Snippet holds the details you want the AI to keep in mind. Its memory is already better than mine.

    New

    • Memory Snippet adds a personal note to the character's chat context.
    • In chat Depth controls where the snippet is placed among the messages.
    • Message deletion asks for confirmation.

    Improved

    • Each character keeps its own memory snippet.
    • The message box can send with Enter.
  3. Chat

Premium models get their own list

Premium models have their own section in AI Settings now, so you can see at a glance which ones your account can use.

    New

    • AI Settings separates Premium Models from Free Tier Models and shows which models your account can use.

    Fixed

    • New Chat no longer forces a full page reload.
  4. Studio

Make an unlisted character, or share it with everyone

The new character creator lets you publish a card as Public or Unlisted, and delete a published card when you change your mind.

    New

    • Card Visibility lets you choose Public or Unlisted when creating a character.
    • Unlisted cards can be shared by direct link and appear among your cards on the chat page.
    • Delete this card lets you take down a card you published.

    Improved

    • The new form separates Subtitle, Page Description, and Character Description Prompt so the public page and the AI's instructions have their own fields.

    Fixed

    • Character creation saves the selected visibility, uploaded picture, and content warning setting correctly.
    • My bug: editing a chat message could fail because I was saving it with the wrong database query.
  5. Catalog

Let Random Tags pick your next search

Random Tags is for when you want a character but have no idea which one. That is about as much decision-making as I can outsource to a button.

    New

    • Random Tags starts a catalog search using a randomly chosen set of tags.

    Fixed

    • Random Tags applies its choices as tag filters instead of putting them in the search text.
    • The download link on character pages works again.
  6. Chat

    Give your persona a picture

Persona has a picture now, so your side of the conversation can have a face too. I also fixed the picture loading, completing the traditional second half of adding a picture.

    New

    • Persona's Picture lets you upload an image for your persona.

    Fixed

    • The persona picture loads correctly after uploading.
    • The chat page scrolls properly as the conversation grows.
  7. Chat

You can chat right here now

Chat lives inside Character Tavern now, with saved conversations and settings you can change yourself. The card catalog has developed a talking habit.

    New

    • Chat with characters inside CT without setting up another app or bringing an API key.
    • New Chat starts another conversation, and Chat History lets you return to saved conversations for that character.
    • You can edit messages, regenerate replies, and delete messages from a conversation.
    • Stop interrupts a reply while it is being generated.
    • AI Settings lets you choose AI Model, Max Tokens, and Main Prompt, and saves your choices.
    • Persona lets you set the name and Persona Description the AI sees.
    • Card Settings lets you change your own chat copy's name, description, first message, scenario, and personality.
    • You can remove a character from your chat list.

    Improved

    • Message controls stay visible on mobile, and AI Settings shows information about the selected model.
  8. Catalog

Find more characters from the same creator

I gave creators their own pages, so finding one good card can lead you to the rest. I remain responsible for how long you spend browsing.

    New

    • Author pages collect a creator's character cards in one place.
    • Show more cards loads more characters on an author's page.

    Improved

    • Character pages show the author more clearly.
    • Catalog pictures show a loading animation while they load.
  9. Catalog

Report a card from its page

Character pages have a Report this Character button now, and the Content Guidelines are public. Reports are reviewed.

    New

    • Report this Character lets you report your own content for removal, incorrect tags, Content Guidelines violations, or another issue.
    • The report form includes a field for explaining what needs attention.
    • Content Guidelines and Privacy Policy are available from the site.

    Improved

    • The character creator is available again after maintenance.
  10. Catalog

Leave a review that actually gets through

I rebuilt reviews around Bad, Decent, and Great, with a clearer result when you submit one. I would give the old form a Bad.

    New

    • Character pages explain that SillyTavern needs more setup.

    Improved

    • Leave a review uses Bad, Decent, and Great buttons instead of the star dropdown.
    • Review submission shows loading, success, or failure feedback.
    • Missing characters and empty searches have clearer pages explaining what happened.

    Fixed

    • Reviews finish submitting before the page refreshes its review list.
