  1. Catalog

The content filter remembers your choice

The content filter now sticks between visits, and the homepage keeps cards with content warnings out of its popular and newest picks.

    Improved

    • Your content filter choice survives a return visit.
    • The homepage's Most Popular and Newest selections filter out cards with content warnings.
  2. Catalog

Cards look better while you browse

I cleaned up card images, formatted descriptions, and loading states. It turns out the pictures look better when I stop stretching them.

    New

    • Catalog cards show a loader while their images are loading.

    Improved

    • Character text and titles render Markdown formatting.
    • Catalog tags load separately so they do not hold up the rest of the page.

    Fixed

    • Card pictures keep their proportions instead of appearing distorted.
    • The account menu and logout flow respond correctly when you sign out.
  3. Studio

You can make characters here now

I opened the AI Character Card Creator so you can build a card on CT and publish it or take it with you.

    New

    • Create a new character opens a form for the picture, Character Description, Personality, Scenario, and First Message.
    • Example conversation, System Prompt, and Post History Instructions let you add instructions for compatible chat apps.
    • Upload to Character Tavern publishes your card with a Tagline, Creator's Note, and Tags.
    • You can export a character as a SillyTavern-compatible PNG without publishing it.

    Improved

    • The creator works better on mobile and accepts PNG pictures.
    • Upload to Character Tavern is selected by default.
  4. Catalog

The homepage has room for your characters

Cards made by the community have their own homepage section now.

    New

    • Cards created by the community appear in their own homepage carousel.

    Improved

    • Characters published on CT show up in the catalog so people can find them.
  5. Catalog

Put your name on a review

Reviews show who wrote them now, and explain when a submission needs fixing. Anonymous is still an option, which is useful when your opinion needs a small disguise.

    New

    • You can leave a rating and comment directly on a character page.

    Improved

    • Reviews show the writer's username, or Anon for a guest.
    • The review form shows validation errors and submission feedback.
  6. Account

    CT has accounts now

Registration, login, and account settings are here, including a way back in when you forget your password.

    New

    • You can register with a username, email, and password, then log in to CT.
    • Settings lets you upload an Avatar and change your password.
    • Forget Password sends a reset link so you can choose a new password.

    Improved

    • Account settings explain which account features are still in alpha.
  7. Catalog

A cleaner catalog and a homepage worth browsing

The homepage and catalog have a new layout, with clearer filters and more ways to browse between searches. I am slowly running out of excuses to rearrange the furniture.

    Improved

    • The homepage presents Trending, popular, and new characters in a refreshed layout.
    • The catalog uses a redesigned filter bar and pagination.
    • Your search text, included tags, and excluded tags appear as removable filters.

    Fixed

    • Newest uses the correct sort option.
  8. Catalog

    Search gets its own engine

I moved catalog search onto CT's own search engine and rebuilt the filters around it. I now have another thing to fix myself, but finding a character should be easier.

    New

    • Oldest is available as a catalog sort option.

    Improved

    • Catalog search uses CT's own search engine.
    • Filters bring sorting, included tags, excluded tags, and the content filter together.
    • Your search query appears with the active filters.

    Fixed

    • You can type into catalog search on mobile again.
    • The desktop sort selector opens correctly, and searching keeps the selected sort.
  9. Catalog

Expression packs are back on character pages

I put expression pack downloads back on character pages and fixed a few tag filters. Faces and filters, both capable of expressing disappointment with my code.

    Improved

    • Characters with an expression pack offer it as a download on their page again.

    Fixed

    • The expression pack section stays hidden when the character has no pack.
    • Adding and removing catalog tags keeps the active tag list in sync.
    • Excluded tags apply correctly when you add them to a search.
  10. Catalog

Search failures come with a way back

I made failed searches explain themselves and added a reload button. I cannot promise the internet behaves, but I can stop making you refresh the whole page on its behalf.

    New

    • A reload button lets you retry when loading characters fails.

    Improved

    • Search errors and missing pages show clearer explanations.

    Fixed

    • Changing the catalog sort updates the results correctly.
    • Character card images use the correct size.
