The Lava Lakes are accessed by going through the Inactive Lava Zone, whose entrance is located in the Lost River Creatures: Crabsquids' main bodies are made of a translucent, bulbous sac and a hard brown green body within and their heads consist of four, large blue eyes with black pupils. Their ten limbs are brown-colored and smooth with two shortest limbs near its mouth forming a pair of comparably small pincers. Crabsquids are capable of bioelectricity and live in the Deep Grand Reef, Blood Kelp Zones, and Lost River Stalkers are creatures that possess an elongated, smooth body with smooth skin. They are are tropical ocean-dwellers that live in the creepvine forest Snow stalkers are quadripedal creatures with shaggy white fur and a broad snout filled with long sharp teeth that stick out even when their mouths are closed, giving them a snaggle-toothed appearance. They are related to regular stalkers, which are creatures that possess an elongated, smooth body with smooth skin. Stalkers' heads feature a long snout, which greatly resembles that of earth gharials and has the same snaggle-toothed appearance as snow stalkers'. Stalkers' dorsal sides are blue-green in color, and are patterned in dark blue and purple, with a bright green and aqua underside. Stalkers are are tropical ocean-dwellers that live in the creepvine forest Grabsquids are smaller, arctic relatives of crabsquids that are teal in color. Grabsquids have bioelectric capabilities and are drawn to electrical devices and batteries Sandsharks live exclusively in the grassy plateaus, crash zone, and the dunes. Sandsharks' bodies are segmented and their dorsal surface is completely covered with a plated exoskeleton, having a grayish-violet upperside and a pinkish underbelly, with a brief gap where its muscle can be seen. Short, grey, leg-like appendages appear in two rows of six on their undersides, used to disturb the surface of the sand. They prefer to stay close to, or beneath the seafloor and never wander near the surface. The sandshark's head features four orange eyes, which are divided into sets of two on each side, and a large fin-like protrusion on the top. It has a rather large mouth equipped with six rows of sharp, jagged teeth, which continue to go down the sandshark's throat Leviathans: Reefbacks are docile and harmless and are found in open waters in surface biomes, most commonly the Grassy Plateaus, where their eggs can be found in the sand Reapers are dangerous and are found in the Crash zone, Dunes, Mountains, by the Aurora, and in the deeper water near the Mountain Island Ghost Leviathans are dangerous and are found in different areas depending on age. Two Adult Ghost Leviathans can be found in the Grand Reef and one can be found in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone, as well as multiple being located in the Crater's Edge. One Ghost Leviathan can be found in the Lost River, where a handful of Ghost Leviathan eggs can also be found. The eggs are located in the Giant Cove Tree with branches growing around them Sea Dragon Leviathans are dangerous and are found in the lava zone. Two are found in the inactive lava zone and one is found in the lava lakes. They are called Sea Dragon Leviathans because they pick up flaming rocks and spit them out at other creatures. One Sea Dragon Leviathan egg can be found in the Disease Research Facility and two can be found in the Primary Research Facility Sea Emperor Leviathans are docile and highly sentient, as well as telepathic and highly intelligent creatures. There is only one and she can be found in her aquarium in the Primary Containment Facility. There are 6 total Sea Emperor Leviathan eggs, five of which are viable and in the Sea Emperor's Aquarium. The one remaining was forcefully cut open in an attempt to learn about the hatching enzymes needed and can be found upstairs in the Primary Research Facility along with the dead Sea Emperor fetus from the egg on the research table The facilities were built by an alien race referred to as the Precursors. They landed on planet 4546b to try and find a cure for the Kharaa bacterium, but infected the entire planet when the Disease Research Facility was breached by a Sea Dragon Leviathan ramming it with its head and the bacteria samples leaked into the surrounding water. Kharaa is an alien disease that has a high mortality rate, which is why planet 4546b is under quarantine and why any spacecraft that gets too close to the planet, like the Aurora, Degasi, and Mercury 2 did, are shot down by the Quarantine Enforcement Platform
