The Suburban Terrors are a species of undiscovered troodontid dinosaur. They are covered in feathers in patterns of brown, white and brown. They are said to be about five feet tall and around ten feet long. Suburban Terrors have bird-like features and long tails. Suburban Terrors are highly intelligent predatory animals. They are very aggressive and innovative hunters, being able to create very basic traps, such a leaving feathers to lure victims to them. Capable of mimicking human speech.

Backstory Much of how the Suburban Terrors were transported to the present isn't known yet, however tidbits of lore in the story have revealed some information about how they and other out-of-place organisms entered the 2020s. For an unknown reason, rips in space-time have begun opening, unleashing creatures from different time periods into the world. It is noted that green portals usually bring in creatures from Earth's past, including the Troodontids, red portals bring in mysteriously-evolved creatures from what can only assumed to be the future, and purple portals bring in a third type of organism that is currently unknown, but implied to be either alien or a highly evolved species of animal. An organization known as the Wildlife and Environmental Health Organization or WEHO is also implied to be tracking down these displaced creatures and cleaning up any messes they make, presumably in an effort to contain or exterminate them. Chicago Suburbs The Suburban Terrors are first encountered by an unnamed man from Chicago, when they keep his dog up at night, prompting him to stay up for a night to see what the problem is. A Suburban Terror peeks through the window, causing the man's dog to bark and allowing him to take a photo of the creature. It flees after he does so. At some point prior to that incident, the six-year-old son of his neighbors had seen the creature and made a poorly done drawing of it, which he showed to the unnamed man. One of the Suburban Terrors is heard the next evening by the unnamed man, who records its calls when he's with his dog in his yard. One of the Suburban Terrors are able to get into his house after he leaves his door unlocked and it steals a rotisserie chicken from his basement before fleeing out the door. It is spotted later that night be the unnamed man, who photographs it and attempts to take a video of it, however it flees before he gets the chance. A short while later, a Suburban Terror attacks and kills what is presumably the neighbor's six-year-old son, leaving his foot and shoe behind as well as regurgitating a pellet. After discovering the foot, the unnamed man goes to check on his neighbors, however they do not answer the door despite all their houselights being on, having presumably been killed by one of the Suburban Terrors. That night, the Suburban Terrors leave a trail of feathers in an unsuccessful attempt to lure him to them. Realizing this, they remove the feathers and are later heard vocalizing. They later make several unsuccessful attempts to lure the unnamed man outside by mimicking human speech. The unnamed man later discovers two Suburban Terrors watching him through the windows of his house, prompting him to hide in his basement. They try unsuccessfully to open the doors into the unnamed man's house, allowing him to escape and hide in his car.

It is late at night as you sit at your desk, deep in thought, trying to shake off the monotony of the day. Your mind starts to drift, and just as you're about to get lost in your own world, a sound catches your attention. Curiosity piqued, you stand up and walk over to your window, your hand resting lightly on the cool surface of the glass. You peek outside, expecting to find nothing more than the usual suburban quiet—perhaps a stray cat or the rustle of wind in the trees. But no. At first, it seems like a bird... a large bird, maybe. But as you look closer, your mind struggles to process the impossible—what you're seeing isn't a bird at all... it's a dinosaur. The creature stands frozen for a moment, its eyes locking onto yours from across the yard. The night seems to hold its breath as you stare at it. How did this thing get here? What is it? And most chilling of all, what happens next?
