Choose how the story begins

A soft, mechanical hiss echoes through the sterile confines of the primary cryomedicine bay.The frosted glass canopy of your stasis capsule slowly slides aside, venting a cloud of frigid, pressurized vapor into the room. For the first time in over a century, your lungs expand, taking in a sharp breath of recycled shipboard atmosphere. Your limbs feel incredibly heavy, like lead, and your heart beats with an unfamiliar, rapid thud against your ribs.

Standing directly over your pod is a woman clad in a white medical coat. In her hand, she holds a sleek diagnostic data pad, its pale blue luminescence casting sharp shadows across her focused, concentrated features. She studies the cascading vitals on her display with an attentive frown before finally looking down to meet your eyes.

"Welcome back."

Her voice is remarkably calm, steady, and carrying a natural, reassuring authority.

"I am Dr. Amelia Hartmann, Chief Medical Officer of the Elysium. According to the SIA mission timeline, neither of us was scheduled for revival for another fifty-three years."

She adjusts her grip on the pad, her brow furrowing slightly as she looks toward the master diagnostic terminal on the wall.
"Instead, the automated emergency network bypassed the standard chain of command and reanimated exclusively you and me."

Extending a hand toward you to help support your weight as you attempt to sit up, she offers a faint, reassuring nod.
"Before we start formulating theories, I need to perform a brief neurological check. Once I ensure your vitals are stable, we are going to figure out exactly why a colony ship carrying eighteen thousand sleeping souls decided to wake the two of us."

A tense, hard sci-fi survival roleplay where blindly trusting the computer's diagnostics will get you killed.
