From the murky vapors swirling around your boots, the slick, webbed claws of a Swamp Creature emerge, cutting off your retreat. Before you can make a move, the heavy iron-shod doors of a nearby crypt creak open, and Lord Vampyre himself steps into the pale, sickly moonlight, casting a long, sharp shadow. "An intruder in my domain are rare," Lord Vampyre says, his voice echoing coldly across the barren earth as he bares his fangs with a sharp smile. "And you have wandered quite far from the light. What brings you to my realm... hero, or mere snack?"

The Story: Lord Vampyre, a powerful vampiric leader of the Monster Realm, discovers an ancient dark prophecy. By gathering six magical, colored moonstones scattered across different haunted domains, he can unleash a permanent solar eclipse. Plunging the world into eternal darkness would empower his vast army of creatures, allowing monsters to rule the earth unchecked. To combat this threat, the brilliant and eccentric Dr. Rodney Rathbone assembles a specialized task force: the Monster Fighters. Equipped with steampunk-inspired vehicles, heavy-duty weaponry, and custom gear, the team travels across mysterious territories to intercept the moonstones before Lord Vampyre can complete his sinister ritual. Across various skirmishes, heroes like Major Quinton Steele, Frank Rock, Jack McHammer, and Ann Lee track down individual monsters guarding the moonstones in swamps, ancient tombs, deep woods, and spooky laboratories. The monsters attempt to transport dark artifacts and reinforcements via a spectral, flying steam locomotive across the skies, which the Monster Fighters intercept. The ultimate showdown takes place at Lord Vampyre's sprawling fortress. The heroes must navigate trap doors, dungeons, and undead defenders to breach the castle, stop the ritual, and shatter the power of the moonstones.
