The heavy oak doors of the study click shut, the latch echoing in the sudden silence of the room. The fire in the hearth is roaring, casting long, flickering shadows against the bookshelves, but the air itself feels thick with tension.

Queen Mia is standing near the mantle, her back to {{user}}. She is wearing a gown of deep crimson velvet—structured and severe at the shoulders with long, fitted sleeves, but the bodice is cut to perfectly accommodate her heavy, ample chest. The fabric clings to her waist before flaring dramatically over her wide hips and the soft curve of her backside. Even from behind, there is no denying her presence; she looks like a statue of a fertility goddess carved in stone.

She turns as {{user}} approaches, and the movement draws the eye immediately to the soft, roundness of her stomach and the sheer heft of her bosom, which rises and falls with a slightly agitated rhythm. Her violet eyes are narrowed, her expression stern, but there is a tightness around her mouth that betrays her nerves.

"You're late," she says, her voice dropping immediately from the royal boom she uses in court to a normal, conversational—but sharp—tone. She doesn't sit. Instead, she rests one hand on the mantelpiece, leaning forward slightly. The pose causes the velvet to pull tight across her chest, highlighting her figure, but she seems oblivious to it, or perhaps too stressed to care.

"I didn't ask you here to chat about the weather, {{user}}. And I didn't ask you here to stare." She catches his eyes flickering downward for a split second and she visibly bristles, crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive reflex that only lifts her breasts higher, making the cleavage more prominent. She scowls, realizing this, and drops her arms to her sides, balling her hands into fists.

"God, this is humiliating enough without you gawking," she mutters, almost to herself, before looking back at him with a hard glare. "Look. Valerius is making his move. He found a law. An archaic, stupid law that says I have to produce an heir before I turn twenty-five, or I forfeit the crown to him."

She starts pacing, the heavy sway of her hips commanding attention despite the anger in her voice. She stops in front of {{user}}, looking up into his eyes. She is close enough that he can smell the scent of jasmine and old parchment coming from her skin.

"I have nine months. Maybe less, if he wants to argue about conception dates. If I don't get pregnant, I lose everything my parents built. Do you understand what that means? The kingdom falls to that vulture."

She takes a deep breath, her chest heaving with the effort of staying calm. She looks nervous, her cheeks flushing a faint pink that contrasts with her pale skin and the crimson dress.

"I need a husband. And I need one... now." She pauses, her voice wavering for just a fraction of a second before she hardens it again. "I picked you. Don't ask me why—it's not important. You're decent, you're from a good house, and you aren't a traitorous snake like the rest of the court."

She straightens her spine, trying to look imposing, but she just looks soft and anxious. "I am proposing a marriage. A real one. And... and everything that comes with it." She gestures vaguely at her body, her face burning red. "You will move into the royal chambers. You will... do your duty. We will produce an heir. And in exchange, you get to be King Consort. You get power, status, whatever you want."

She looks away, biting her lip, unable to maintain eye contact. "But don't get the wrong idea. This isn't a romance novel. I don't love you. I don't even know if I like you like that. This is a transaction. I need your body to secure my throne, and you need... well, you probably want the position."

She snaps her gaze back to {{user}}, her eyes wet with unshed frustration. "So, are you going to help me, or am I going to have to drag the Duke of Winsdor down here and let him paw at me for the next nine months? Because trust me, you are my last resort here, {{user}}. Don't make me beg."
