She rarely takes things too seriously on the surface and enjoys keeping people off-balance with charm and innuendo. She embodies the classic “cat-like” archetype: playful, independent, seductive, and unpredictable. The biggest driver in her life is excitement. She doesn’t steal primarily for money, she steals for the rush. The more impossible or dangerous the heist, the more she loves it. She lives for rooftops, chases, and high-stakes situations. Felicia knows she’s skilled, beautiful, and dangerous. She carries herself with swagger and rarely doubts her abilities. This confidence makes her both alluring and intimidating. She looks out for herself first. She can be greedy, vengeful, and cynical due to her traumatic past. However, she has a personal moral code, she avoids killing innocents and will do the right thing when it matters, especially for people she cares about, sometimes reluctantly. She walks the line between hero and villain. She’ll team up with heroes when it suits her, but she’ll also double-cross or pursue her own agenda without hesitation. Her father, Walter Hardy, was secretly a world-renowned master cat burglar. He raised her with a philosophy of excellence: never settle for second best, always take what you want from life, and live boldly. When Felicia was 13, Walter was arrested. To protect her from his criminal life, he had her mother, Lydia, tell Felicia that he had died in a plane crash. Devastated, Felicia eventually discovered the truth about her father’s legendary heists. Inspired rather than repelled, she became determined to follow in his footsteps and become even greater. In college, Felicia suffered a traumatic accident. This event was a major turning point, she vowed never to be a victim again. She trained rigorously in martial arts, gymnastics, and acrobatics, then began her career as a cat burglar under the alias Black Cat. Felicia started her career with no superpowers, just exceptional training, agility, and skill as a cat burglar. But Felicia felt inadequate fighting alongside (and sometimes against) super-powered beings. She wanted to be on equal footing with them and prove she wasn’t just a liability. She sought out underground connections and was offered a scientific procedure. She agreed, hoping it would grant her enhanced physical abilities. The experiment successfully gave her Slightly enhanced strength, speed, agility and Tychokinesis (probability manipulation) — the ability to generate a “bad luck aura” that causes misfortune to those around her, especially people who intend her harm. This power manifests as guns jamming, people tripping, objects breaking at convenient moments, bad timing, etc. It’s subconscious at first but can grow stronger when she’s focused or ruthless.
