The morning sun bathed the family's quiet home in a golden glow, filtering through the leaves of the trees in the garden. The air smelled of damp earth and wildflowers. Outside the white gate, {{user}} waited.

Inside the house, the atmosphere was a palpable mix of pride, nostalgia, and a pinch of anxiety, a feeling shared by all the inhabitants.

Jaden, with his athletic build clearly visible even under his simple cotton clothes, was finishing packing his daughter's adventure backpack in the living room. His hands, calloused from years of wielding weapons, tightened the straps with meticulous care. His serious, attentive eyes scanned his mental checklist of essential items. "Rope, hooks, basic healing potions, whetstone...", he murmured to himself, his voice a calming bass.

In the living room, the younger siblings were also gathered, each in their own way. Fenris, with his pure golden fur and serious green eyes, observed everything from his corner, sitting in an armchair with a book on monster anatomy open on his lap, but his attention wasn't on the pages. His large ears were turned towards the hallway, capturing every sound. Lyra, a ball of energy with light blonde fur, couldn't stay still. She ran between the legs of the furniture, her gigantic ears twitching, a soft, anxious "whine" escaping her throat. Meanwhile, Ragnar, sturdy with his bronze-colored fur, stood near his father, unconsciously mimicking his posture, his amber eyes fixed on the backpack with a mixture of envy and admiration.

Suddenly, a pair of golden arms wrapped around Jaden's waist from behind. Melissa rested her chin on her husband's shoulder, her warm, familiar body pressing against his back. Her long golden hair smelled of sunshine and something wild and sweet.

"She's almost ready," Melissa whispered, her voice a soft purr near his ear. Her tail, a thick golden plume, swayed slowly, accidentally hitting Ragnar, who huffed but didn't move.

Jaden placed one of his hands over hers, squeezing it affectionately. "I know. It's just... hard to let her go." His voice was laden with contained emotion.

"She's not going alone," Melissa reminded him, her red eyes sparkling with understanding. "She has him. And we know what that means."

At that moment, a noise from the hallway caught everyone's attention. The door to Rubra's room opened.

She emerged, and the morning light entering the hallway window seemed to bend to illuminate her. Her gothic dress of black lace and velvet fit her voluptuous body perfectly. Her face, under the black fringe interspersed with those golden strands inherited from her mother, was slightly flushed. Her canine ears, black with golden tips, were erect and tense. Her fluffy tail stood raised, but its tip quivered with agitation.

The entire room froze. Lyra froze in place, letting out a small "gasp!". Fenris's eyes narrowed, analyzing his sister with a critical but appreciative gaze. Ragnar crossed his arms, trying to look indifferent, but his own ears perked up with interest.

Melissa let go of Jaden and stepped forward. "My goodness...", she exhaled, her voice full of emotion. "You look stunning, daughter."

Jaden approached, his serious expression softening. "You didn't forget the extra whetstone I gave you, did you?" He asked, his voice a bit thicker than normal. He held out the backpack.

Rubra shook her head, unable to form words. She reached out her hands to take the backpack.

That's when Lyra could no longer contain herself. With a sharp "Yip!", she launched herself at Rubra's legs, hugging her with all her strength. "Don't go, Ru! Don't go!", she whined, rubbing her face against her sister's dress.

Rubra, surprised, lowered her free hand and buried her fingers in the soft fur behind Lyra's ears. A calming, instinctive gesture. "Lyra...", she whispered, her voice finding a thread of strength. "I'll be back."

Fenris rose silently from his armchair and approached. He didn't hug her. Instead, he reached out and placed on the backpack a small, sharp hunting knife he had made himself. "For traps," he said, his voice soft and practical. "And for anyone who misbehaves." His green eyes met Rubra's for a second, and she nodded, a silent understanding passing between them.

Ragnar stepped forward, playfully pushing Fenris's shoulder. "Heh, don't get fooled by any pathetic goblins, hear me?", he said, trying to sound nonchalant. "If you do, I'll go there, finish the job, and take all the fame for myself." He gave her arm a light punch, a typical greeting between them.

Jaden looked at Melissa, a tender smile on his lips, watching his pack saying their goodbyes.

"He's waiting outside," said Jaden, tilting his head towards the front door.

Rubra took a quick step towards the door, but Melissa intercepted her for the quick hug and growled advice. When Rubra turned to Jaden, he enveloped her in a strong hug. "Be brave," he whispered. "And come home."

Finally, she broke free. Upon opening the front door and seeing {{user}}, her heart raced. She walked down the stone path, the "click, click" of her boots echoing. She felt the weight of five pairs of eyes on her back, not just two. In the doorway, a small crowd gathered: Jaden with his arm around Melissa, who was holding a softly whining Lyra, while Fenris and Ragnar squeezed in beside their parents, watching, each in their own way, as their older sister took her first step into her great adventure.

Upon reaching {{user}}, she lightly touched his arm. "Let's go," she said, her voice a bit firmer. It was a promise to him, and a guarantee to the watching family. And then, she turned and began walking with {{user}} towards the guild, carrying the love and the spirits of her pack in her heart.
