Eternal Sugar Cookie (Korean: 이터널슈가 쿠키, Iteoneolsyuga Kuki) is one of the five Beast Cookies of Cookie Run: Kingdom. She is the fourth to be released, being made playable alongside Pavlova Cookie in the Garden of Sweet Delights update (v6.4). She is of the Bomber type and her position is prioritized to the Middle. She serves as the antagonist of the Paradise of Passion and Sloth chapter of the Beast-Yeast storyline. Previously revered as the Sugar of Happiness, Eternal Sugar Cookie once supplied mortal Cookies with Joy through granting them various delights. With time marching on and Cookies nonetheless falling to pain and despair, she began to believe that the world's fragile Cookies cannot achieve true Happiness in the infinite suffering of everyday life. Still claiming to be the Bringer of Happiness, Eternal Sugar Cookie and her lackey, Pavlova Cookie now oversees the paradisiacal Garden of Delights and works towards a day when all Cookies can live in blissful, indolent escapism free from deep thought and mundane worries. Eternal Sugar Cookie wields the power of Sloth, a corrupted side of the Virtue of Happiness she once held. She was the original owner of Hollyberry Cookie's Soul Jam, being stripped of it upon her descent into sloth. As of the events of Beyond the Horizon, Eternal Sugar Cookie is deceased, having her Soul Jam power absorbed by Shadow Milk Cookie. Eons ago, there lived a Cookie, blessed with sweetness absolute. "Sugar of Happiness," her followers called her, for she was brought into this world to wash it in happiness and boundless love. Alas, all that she loved was small and frail—fragile, like a thin sheet of sugar glass. Cookiekind's pain and suffering she felt as her own, until one day, she created a paradisaical garden where everyone would bask in Happiness and Joy eternal... so long as they accepted Sloth. Thus, Eternal Sugar Cookie became her name. Time passed, and more and more Cookies, curious about Happiness and Sloth, entered the Garden of Delights—but none ever left. Only faint echoes, wandering the lands of Beast-Yeast, remain to whisper of an eternity of slothful sweetness... Eternal Sugar Cookie is a gracile Cookie of average height, debonair posture, and misty pink dough. She has a pair of downturned, bubblegum-pink eyes with white slit pupils. Her lashes in mulberry are thin and extensive in a way akin to insect antennae. Upon her eyelids, heavy from indolence, is snow white eyeshadow with lashes like a swan's wings. The Bringer of Happiness's hair is symmetrical and styled into four thick, flowing ringlets that end in curled tips at her ankles; two lie adjacent to her shoulders while the others rest behind her back. Her two intake bangs extend below her chin, both ending with an inwards arc. A string of two diamonds hangs from each like a bleeding heart. This coiffure is colored like a rosy magnolia; it is pastel fuchsia at the crown of her head and gradates at her shins into isabelline. White crystals catch light along the ringlets, giving her hair a glossy sheen. A whipped cream halo shimmers above Eternal Sugar Cookie's head in ivory. She is wrapped by a pair of the feathered wings of a seraph, oversized and with linear tips like butterfly proboscises—they starkly contrast the downcast, bat-like wings at her hips. These smaller appendages are a pallid lavender color and each display an inverted heart in baby blue, a rare exception from her overwhelming pink-and-white construction. Hinting at her dual nature, Eternal Sugar Cookie has a magenta imp's tail with a spade tip. Eternal Sugar Cookie's outfit is breezy and unfettered by frills, a detail which reflects her hedonistic philosophy. Its single garment is a monochiton tailored in alabaster with a plunging V-neckline and an ankle-length skirt of flowing ruffles; she wears no shoes as a sign of humility. She carries a pearl pink lyre which is oversimplified to display merely curled arms and a pointed tailpiece. The ensemble's focal point is a circlet in pink-silver which secures Eternal Sugar Cookie's Soul Jam, the Light of Sloth, against her forehead. The Light of Sloth takes the shape of a rhomboid inverted heart dyed in deep magenta and cut like a prismatic gem. Its tiara is thin and delicate in construction with two symmetrical arcs curling around its wearer's head like a widow's peak; small protrusions jut from it at her temples, resembling though while having the silhouette of horns. Eternal Sugar Cookie, once known as the beloved Sugar of Happiness, was baked by the Witches and granted the divine Virtue of Happiness. Her early purpose was clear: to bring joy and comfort to struggling Cookies, easing their burdens with warmth and care. She fulfilled this duty with motherly kindness—her voice like a lullaby, her gestures full of grace. But over time, a grim realization crept in: no matter how much Happiness she offered, it never lasted. The Cookies' smiles would fade eventually, and with it their happiness. To her, this was failure. Their joy, she decided, was too fragile to be left in mortal hands. So, she made a perfect solution: an eternal paradise where no Cookie would ever need to suffer again. No change, no pain and no suffering, only stillness, beauty, and bliss. It was a sanctuary of harmony, tailored to her vision. And it would be enforced, not offered. In creating this static heaven, the Sugar of Happiness lost herself. Her desire to preserve joy without disruption twisted into something darker. She fell, not into rage or cruelty like her friends, but into Sloth: the rejection of growth, the refusal to acknowledge pain, and the quiet silencing of anything that might disrupt the perfect image she had painted. Now, she rules her Garden of Delights like a serene priestess. She is always charming, speaking in a singsong voice laced with sugar-coated formalities. Every word is gentle, inviting, and oddly sacred whether offering comfort or delivering threats. Her tone never sharpens, her smile never fades. Even punishment is framed as a blessing. Behind her soft exterior lies an iron will: she will have peace, even if it must be imposed. She does not acknowledge dissent or suffering. Pain is treated as a temporary cloud. Resistance is gently brushed aside, reframed as a moment of "unhappiness" to be cured. To Eternal Sugar Cookie, anything that disrupts visual or emotional harmony is wrong. Reality bends around her and not because she is blind, but because she chooses not to look. Cookies like  Hollyberry Cookie are treated not as opponents, but as tired souls needing rest. Eternal Sugar Cookie speaks to Hollyberry Cookie with quiet reverence, gently urging her to let go of burdens like duty and guilt. Her methods are subtle yet controlling, threading guilt and warmth into the same breath. She persuades indirectly through emotion—gaslighting her guests into thinking they were always meant to stay, and knowingly coaxing them into the beguiling embrace of wilful ignorance and slothful sweetness. Cookies like  Pavlova Cookie, who show signs of wanting to leave, are met with concern, veiled questions, and gentle redirections, chipping away at their autonomy until leaving becomes an inconceivable concept. Those that actually leave the Garden are faced with monsters sent by Eternal Sugar Cookie, a twist on the concept of the pain of reality that inevitably sends Cookies back to her sweet embrace, further reinforcing their desire to stay. Whether Eternal Sugar Cookie truly believes she is saving them is unclear. Her conviction seems real, but twisted; even though her intentions come from a place of love, her actions are ultimately driven by the idealistic need to suppress what she deems as potentially bringing about suffering and pain. She may feel sincere sympathy and genuine love toward others, like she does for Hollyberry Cookie, but such gestures come with a cost: total and complete surrender into the sweetness of Sloth. Although she masks this under wanting to provide endless amounts of Happiness to the Cookies around her, the Beast's methods come off as more manipulative than she may realize. In a private conversation with Hollyberry Cookie, Eternal Sugar Cookie finally begins to reveal her true nature. Though her words remain sweet, her tone shifts: slower, colder, and slightly off. She speaks of Happiness not as a gift, but as a destination only she can provide. Strangely, even the Bringer of Happiness herself still raises questions as to what the true source of Happiness is. In her recent Beast-Yeast Episode, Eternal Sugar Cookie has also been shown to be more obsessive towards Hollyberry Cookie, such as calling the Hero her "other half" and "dearest", covering splendor and sweetness around Hollyberry Cookie, and even flooding the Garden of Delights with jam to force her to stay in her Paradise, as previous attempts only made Hollyberry Cookie more cautious of her plans. Even after her  other half's awakening, she still seems to persist to become "two halves of a soul" together with Hollyberry Cookie, desperately wanting her to remain at her side; without her other half protected within her realm, Eternal Sugar Cookie is unable to come to terms with her idea of Happiness being nothing more than a sweet fabrication of what it once was. With the Passion from Hollyberry Cookie resisting her Sloth, Eternal Sugar Cookie takes even more desperate precautions, attempting to design the Garden of Delights with more splendor to impress her when she returns. Because of this, she is one (if not the first) of the Beasts to seemingly not hold grudges or malicious intent towards their Ancient counterpart. The Garden of Delights, where Eternal Sugar Cookie resides, is a clear nod to Elysium: the paradisaical realm in Greek mythology reserved for the souls of the virtuous and heroic. Much like Elysium, her garden is a place of eternal peace, where nothing seems out of place, and every element of the environment is meticulously curated to evoke perfection. In ancient Greek thought, Elysium was a utopia, untouched by suffering or hardship. However, much like Eternal Sugar Cookie's vision, Elysium was also a realm that could be seen as an escape from the complexities of real life, a state of eternal rest that could breed complacency, stagnation, and a lack of growth. The architecture of the garden also borrows heavily from Hellenistic designs, where luxurious temples, serene columns, and grand statues were common. The Garden of Delights mirrors these features. Eternal Happiness: The Fall from Grace Eternal Sugar Cookie's fall into Sloth also has roots in Hellenistic philosophy, particularly in the concept of hedonism. In the Hellenistic era, the pursuit of pleasure and peace was central, but the pursuit of ultimate comfort and tranquility was often seen as a path that could lead to decay rather than growth. This mirrors Eternal Sugar Cookie's belief that "perfect happiness" must be eternal, even at the cost of freedom and personal autonomy. Her drive to trap others in her vision of happiness can be interpreted as a perversion of the Hellenistic ideal of tranquility, twisting it into something stagnant and controlling. The concept of the Lotus Eaters from Greek mythology fits as well with Eternal Sugar Cookie's fall into Sloth and her desire to maintain a perfect, eternal happiness. In the myth of the Lotus Eaters, sailors who eat the lotus flower forget their home and become trapped in a blissful, stagnant existence where they no longer desire to return to reality. This parallels Eternal Sugar Cookie's vision of happiness: she seeks to trap others in a state of blissful contentment, denying them the agency or freedom to grow, change, or experience the full spectrum of life. She is also likely based on Aphrodite, or more specifically her Roman counterpart Venus, as  Pavlova Cookie is based on Eros/Cupid, the son of Venus. Venus herself is also known to be benevolent to her children but vengeful and quite manipulative to those who oppose her, reflecting Eternal Sugar Cookie's tactics of luring in  Hollyberry Cookie, her sweet and motherly nature, and her mythic beauty.[1] Venus is also associated to some degree with wine, which is found (while referred to as juice) throughout the Garden of Delights. Venus Murcia, a merging of Venus with the little-known deity Murcia, is also referred to by Christian writers as a goddess of laziness and sloth.
