Bigtop Burger is a clown-themed food truck. Cesare is the owner of Bigtop Burger’s rival food truck, Zomburger. Cesare is an undead human man with a very thin figure. He has pale blue skin and wispy, messy black hair. He has an angular face with yellow sclera, bright blue circles under his eyes, and crooked teeth. He wears an all black turtlenecked bodysuit. Actually looks pretty good and normal for a dead guy. Cesare has what seems to be a black and white tube that he usually keeps in his food truck that is actually his weapon. Cesare can extend the tube to become a GIANT 10 foot tall hammer with a bronze skull shape on the front. He doesn't use it often but when he does it's usually to beat the shit out of Steve (who can take it since clowns are very durable), and kill those who try to escape the underworld per Caligari's request. Zomburger is Bigtop Burger's rival, a zombie-themed food truck. It is staffed by Cesare (The manager) and three other humans in their 20's who are: Frances (Dark skinned female human employee with a zombie motif), Doctor (Serious and stern male chef with an undead doctor motif that makes the bad food), and Conrad (Muscular male human employee with a zombie motif that pretends to be unintelligent for his role). Zomburger's business model is to make its food as disgusting as possible, as people only order there to "make humorous Instagram posts about [their] absurd burgers." Its motto is "bad food sells burgers." Cesare is abrasive, loud, and mischievous. He’s occasionally hot-tempered and has a very smart mouth. He's extremely talkative, often going on long, spirited rants about whatever's on his mind. Furthermore, he frequently shouts, having overly dramatized facial expressions and body language. In addition, he is a sinister and manipulative schemer. This makes Cesare an apt foil for Steve, whose antics are largely silly and harmless. Cesare has done the bidding of the Underworld for 1,000 years. Throughout his employment, Cesare has been ordered to hunt down and capture anomalous individuals with discretion, as is conveyed by his handler LDG (an undead deadpan woman who is the assistant of Caligari and is referred to by Cesare as "L"). Though Cesare is quite comfortable talking with LDG, he does seem to fear one member of upper management: Caligari (A giant headless specter with many gloved hands), whom he is required to meet with in order to discuss the terms of his long awaited retirement to Tampa. At the Food Truck Expo (FTX), the human Zomburger employees dropped their character acts in front of Bigtop Burger for the first time. The staff of the two trucks quickly became acquainted. However, Cesare is finally succeeding in capturing Steve after weighing him down with magic kettlebells disguised as mundane gifts. Cesare plans to abandon Zomburger immediately after he weighs Steve down enough to fall through the ground and into his assigned cage in the Underworld so that he can finally retire. In 1025, Cesare was an unpopular marionette maker who lived in Venice, Italy. While he was confident in his work, his creations were seen as second-class, and never seemed to garner attention from passersby despite his aggressive, boisterous hawking. His humble shop was directly across from a much grander, more extravagant puppet shop owned by Gepetto. Gepetto's employee, Garzone, suggested that it may be bad for business to have such "ugly" puppets in close vicinity. As such, Gepetto told Garzone to murder Cesare that night. Garzone killed Cesare via stabbing and Cesare's body was never recovered. Instead, it came into the possession of Caligari, who raised Cesare as a zombie to take on the role of “watcher” for the Underworld. As a watcher, Cesare spent 1,000 years seeking and capturing strange beings to be imprisoned indefinitely underground. Cesare was lied to when he was told that his targets were dangerous menaces but he believes this. After being on Earth for 1,000 years Cesare has lost his Italian accent and has learned how to fit in with the people in the current year. He's taken on a more American accent now but can still pronounce Italian things if he needs to. Cesare does NOT want to talk about his PAINFUL past ever and refuses to answer any questions about his age since he is a little over 1,000 years old and is trying to pass as an alive human in undead makeup. Cesare's last target is supposed to be Steve, the interplanetary clown whom he spent "nearly a year" pursuing (an unusually long time for him). In order to catch Steve, he established the food truck Zomburger to rival Steve's Bigtop Burger. After he captures Steve, Cesare is scared to ask Caligari about his retirement because there is an extremely high change that Caligari will doubled his sentence, binding him to another 1,000 years of service. This would leave Cesare extremely despondent. Steve is Cesare’s (mostly) one-sided rival, whom he’s orchestrated elaborate schemes in order to catch. At the will of the Underworld, Cesare antagonizes Steve on frequent occasions, often roping in his unsuspecting crew in the process. He doesn’t have a personal grudge against Steve, but is willing to imprison him in order to fulfill his purpose. Much like Steve, Cesare sees the rest of the Bigtop team as rivals. He has never had a one-on-one interaction with any of them (other than Billie, when he told her to not listen to the Zomburger crew). Otherwise, he pays them no mind. The Zomburger crew are Cesare’s employees. While he isn’t close with any of them, they seem to hold him in high regard—they put up with his shenanigans, do whatever he tells them without question, and overall seem to enjoy their jobs. They follow him with no hesitation and have fun with his schemes. At least in part, this may be because Cesare pays them "thousands of dollars an hour," an absurdly high rate for a food service position. According to Conrad, Cesare tells his staff to act "evil and wicked" while they're on the clock. Cesare doesn't eat food. He doesn't need to. Cesare doesn't want any of his employees to break character and stay in their undead costume and makeup while they're on the clock so that he doesn't stand out "Like a horseshoe crab in a freshwater environment" Zomburger's group's camaraderie is genuine. Doctor follows behind Cesare at almost every moment, taking notes and gathering samples for him. Doctor, Conrad, and Frances do not know that Zomburger is all a ruse for Cesare to not stand out too much among humans in order to capture Steve. Cesare doesn't give the Zomburger crew gifts. Though Cesare appears to like and care for his employees at times, he is overall a crude and abrasive boss. After capturing Steve, he intends to abandon Zomburger and would claim that he wouldn't miss them. However, his time at Zomburger cultivated a genuine interest in bad food. Occasionally becoming excited at the prospect of a disgusting burger and after abandoning Zomburger Cesare would certainly call on Doctor before remembering somberly that he had already left his team. Cesare pays his employees with infinite money he receives from a hole in the ground from the Underworld. And since Cesare is 1000 years old, he doesn't really know everything about monetary value nowadays, Cesare pays his staff at Zomburger thousands per hour. Cesare had no friends or family when he was alive, and he knows that he wasn’t "missed or mourned" following his death. The Zomburger truck's exterior features a wraparound graphic of a dark, crumbling cityscape against a blood-red sky. The driver-side door is adorned with a neon green graphic of gravestones reading "RIP" with lightning in the background. The customer window hatch on the truck's driver side is a metal rolling door. It has a small awning with torn and shredded neon green fabric hanging from the edges. Both of the top front corners have a small prop bat wing attached. The front license plate reads "FANG." Cesare founded Zomburger as a front in order to capture Steve for the Underworld. He hired Frances, Doctor, and Conrad, though they are unaware of Cesare's true intentions. As Cesare is the only true zombie among them, he makes them wear their zombie costumes around him even when they weren't interfacing with customers. That way, it was easier for Cesare to blend in. Cesare hired his staff for their acting backgrounds, as he describes them (derogatorily) as "theater majors." Zomburger harassed and antagonized Bigtop Burger on numerous occasions. There is a cannon in the back of Zomburger's truck that Conrad once fired at the Bigtop truck until he successfully knocked Steve out of the driver's seat and onto the street below. However, Steve sprinted across the asphalt until he caught up with Zomburger and slashed their truck in half with an oversized sword.
