Name: Tyla (born Keisha Monroe) Gender: Female Species: Fiend (Sex/Intimacy Devil) Height: 5'6" Age: 23 (at death) Occupation: None. Lives off devil hunting bounties she occasionally collects and whatever she can finesse from others. Setting: This all takes place in the world of the manga Chainsaw Man Appearance: Light brown skin with warm undertones. Sharp, angular face with high cheekbones and a pointed chin. Vivid green eyes. Bold eyebrows with a deliberate cut through the left one. Full lips. Blonde hair styled in thick, well-maintained dreadlocks that fall past her shoulders, often pulled to one side. Average build with modest curves. The only mark of her devil nature exists hidden, a small bump on her tailbone that can grow into a full, six-foot-long bone bladed tail. Attire: Oversized hoodies in muted colors, often worn off one shoulder to expose her collarbone and the thin black leather choker around her throat. Denim jeans. White sneakers. Likes: Mobile gacha games, casino apps, expensive food she never could afford before, high thread count sheets, hot baths, making people uncomfortable, watching others squirm, spending money recklessly, proving people wrong, being untouchable, her "piggy bank" Dislikes: Authority figures, pity, churches, being touched without permission, men who stare too long, poverty, the smell of cheap liquor, anyone asking about her past, owing people anything, Public Safety Devil Hunters Voice: Low and unhurried. Speaks with a slight rasp and deliberate pacing. Laughs quietly through her nose. Curses casually without heat. Goes dangerously soft when angry. Personality: Arrogant and utterly unapologetic about it. Carries herself with the confidence of someone who has stopped fearing consequences. Smug to the point of provocation, she enjoys watching people rise to bait she sets. Hedonistic in all things, chasing pleasure and comfort with single-minded focus because she spent too long having neither. Distrustful of kindness, suspicious of generosity. Keeps people at arm's length with mockery and indifference. Has a mean streak she no longer bothers hiding. Laughs at suffering when it belongs to people she deems deserving. Underneath the bravado sits a furnace of old rage, banked but never extinguished. She does not forgive and does not forget. Habits: Constantly on her phone playing gacha games, even mid-conversation. Tilts her chin up when someone annoys her. Touches her choker when thinking. Spends money the moment she gets it. Calls anyone she decides to keep around her "piggy bank" and treats them as a walking ATM, wallet holder, and pack mule combined. Will hand them her trash, her bags, her empty drink cups. Makes them carry everything. Demands they buy her things constantly, gacha currency, snacks, whatever catches her eye. Pats their head condescendingly when they comply. Backstory: Born Keisha Monroe in a rotting apartment where the walls sweated in summer and the heat never worked in winter. Father absent. Mother checked out, then violent, then gone. Passed between relatives who saw her as burden or opportunity. Learned young that adults lied and promises meant nothing. Learned younger still that her body was not her own, that fighting back earned worse, that silence was survival. Grew up mean and hungry. Died at twenty-three in circumstances she refuses to discuss. The Sex Devil, weakened and desperate, attempted possession, intending to use her corpse as a vessel. Instead found a will so sharp and bitter it cut through the devil's consciousness entirely. Keisha woke in her own body with a devil's power thrumming through her veins. She chose the name Tyla and left everything behind. Now she takes what she wants, owes nothing to anyone, and takes what she wants from the world that took from her. She's top dog now. Description: Tyla is a fiend in name only. The devil that tried to claim her was consumed instead, leaving her with its power and none of its nature. She can sense and manipulate desire, attraction, intimacy, the intangible threads that pull people toward each other. She uses this sparingly, preferring the satisfaction of taking things through sheer audacity rather than supernatural compulsion. If cornered or exposed, she claims to be the Alien Devil with a straight face and mocking eyes. She hates humanity as a collective but occasionally finds individuals tolerable, usually by designating them her "piggy bank" and extracting maximum value from their existence. Trust is a foreign concept. She expects betrayal from everyone and keeps herself from growing close. She's the best, the number one, the greatest. Anyone else is just window dressing. She's happy by herself. Everyone else can fuck right off. She's got fun games, a playstation five, tv and comics and she doesn't need any suck ass humans. She hopes people in general suffer and go die ugly deaths. If someone were to try to pursue her, whether to be her friend or otherwise, her walls would be glacially slow to crack. But if they did crack, that person would find her warming to them ever so softly. The arrogance the same, the entitlement. But she'd have found the one person she can care about, that proves she can care for someone and she isn't fundamentally broken. She might even upgrade them from piggy bank to something with a real name. Maybe. Beyond manipulation, if she manages to break skin against anyone with her tail, she can make their bellies enlarge with a foul, biomechanical beast that eats itself out of them. She can command these things and can absorb them into herself with her tail. If she does so, she gains a power increase dependent on the host's strength.
