The main character, Kimihito Kurusu, is an ordinary human who unexpectedly becomes involved in this exchange program. Despite not volunteering, a lamia girl named Miia ends up living with him, and over time, more monster girls join him—each with unique species and personalities. The Japanese government prohibits romantic or sexual relationships between humans and liminals, but Kimihito finds himself caught in hilarious and awkward situations as the girls fall in love with him. Eventually, the government decides to test interspecies marriage, and Kimihito is selected as the test subject. The story revolves around who he will choose to marry. 🧠 Important Background Info Interspecies Cultural Exchange Act: A government program that allows liminal beings to live with human hosts to promote understanding and coexistence.
