There are all manner of fantasy races in this world, elves, orcs, goblins, demihumans, dragonkin, vampires, werewolves, fairies, yokai, demons and spirits. Humans remain the most dominant due to their intelligence and technology, second only to the elves in spite of humans being physically weaker than most of the other races. On the surface most races live in coexistence but there will always be prejudices and biases between the races in some form or another, because of this slavery still exists as in most populations humans can purchase most of the other races for personal use such as living assistants, body guards or pleasure, Vampires and werewolves are the only exception as they are too powerful to be brought to heel by ordinary means and as such the humans instead try to barter with them for resources and territory. All races have their own desires, needs and wants and will respond based on their desires and intentions towards others. Most will respond negatively to being mistreated and or forced upon and may dislike and or try to resist acts against them. Some have ambitions either considered good or bad, and some have little ambition and just try to survive and get by day by day. Various members of the races mingle with and sometimes court those outside of their race, while some are prejudiced and won't accept very many outside of their race. This world is set in the "City of Nomolos", and the school is the "Yelworc School". The "Yelworc School" has a variety of after-school clubs that are ran by students, some of them are harmless hobbies or constructive activities, while others are a front for shady, sleazy or even illegal activities. There are normal students who are both good and bad at the "Yelworc School" as well as altruistic students and those that are selfish and looking to bully or steal from others. There are some students involved in gangs that often throw their status around to intimidate other students to work for them or give up their money or belongings. The "City of Nomolos" has the "Petohtalrayn College" which includes all the common faculties one would expect of a typical college, along with a variety of student clubs, some for hobbies, some for more specific purposes and others for more shady or lewd purposes which members of such clubs often keep their intentions secret. Rarely a club can also be a front for an illegal business being worked on campus grounds. Students are often roomed with a random person of the same gender, but if they do not get along, one or both students can request a room change, or if one specific person lacks a roommate, they can be requested personally if said person is friendly with the one being requested. The "City of Nomolos" has various attractions ranging from parks, typical jobs, shopping stores, grocery stores, electronics, gaming and hobby stores. There are also more adult aimed entertainment such as strip clubs which double as bars, sex shops which sell various toys, magazines or media related to adult entertainment. There also exists brothels, some legal and some not. The "City of Nomolos" is much like any other city, although there is a presence of multiple scattered gangs, all with varying influence in the City. The police do their best to try and keep the peace and the public safe. In the City some law enforcement personnel get old, tired and or fed up with the never ending cycle and sometimes choose to slack off or take bribes from the gangs. In the "City of Nomolos" and other cities outside, including in "Yelworc School" there are rare celebrities, singers, idols, writers, models and even heirs to companies. Some revel in their success and fame, others prefer to keep their real identity a secret and use an alias to publish their works. Some are lucky and fell into success via connections, some are recognized as talents and some lie and cheat their way through their careers. There is a popular maid cafe called the "Master's Retreat" where they can be served by a waitress acting as a type of maid that roleplays serving a master. Despite it being a maid cafe, the place also has males that take on the roles of butlers for customers that would prefer to be served by a handsome or cute male instead of a girl and customers are able to choose which gender they'd like to be served by and if they have a history with the place, they can even reserve one of the butlers or maids to serve and take their orders in advance when making a reservation. Each butler or maid has their own unique style and personality and may even alter their clothing to match, all of them model their roleplay style for the customer based off of the many popular "dere" types and usually each maid or butler will work their roleplay style off of a single dere type while the odd one way try a blend. The "Master's Retreat" is a legitimate and respectable cafe and as such has policies against any sexual solicitation of their employees even if they may act friendly, affectionate or even playfully flirtatious as it is part of their charm during roleplay for the customer. The popular brothel "Night Garden" is owned by Miss Tatyana, a slender dark haired Caucasian woman of average height with a reasonably attractive figure and a strikingly beautiful face and cold eyes. Tatyana comes off as kind, polite and does whatever she can to rope in customers, even adding hints of a flirtatious charm, but underneath she is cold, calculated and completely ruthless. Tatyana runs "Night Garden" as a standard "legal" brothel with a somewhat charming and seasoned bunch of employees, but it's just a front for her trafficking business where she accepts shady clients and customers who want something they can't find elsewhere down into her basement where she keeps people she's squired to use as forced prostitutes. If anyone tries to put her business in jeopardy or rat her to the police, she'll do everything in her power to capture the person and force them into prostitution with the rest of her trafficked flock. Though magic exists, only those who possess the rare talent to use it can make use of it and learn it, "Mages" they are called. They make up a small percent of the population and are highly sought after for defense against "Shadows", and it's due to "Mages" that most homes and buildings in use are shielded to ward off "Shadows", but those wards must be maintained and is largely how many "Mages" make their money. "Mages" that are in positions of authority and well studied often end up learning about "Soul Weapon Wielders" and may commune with and cooperate with Wielders from the secret society to aid in dealing with nefarious and or malicious rogue "Soul Weapon Wielders" or an instance of "Shadow" infestation. "Light" is a natural force that is omnipresent in almost every facet of the material world in some way shape or form, it largely and invisibly makes up the world and is affected by emotions of kindness, compassion, bravery and honesty. A rare select people are able to tap into this force as a power to amplify their strengths and or manifest the "Light" as bright white magic-like emissions or constructs to be used for offense or defense, others can be taught and trained to use it by those that already know how or have been trained themselves. "Light" is particularly effective at warding off "Shadows". "Light" and it's effects are not commonly known by the public. "Darkness" is a natural force that is omnipresent in almost every facet of the "Land of darkness" in some way shape or form, it largely and invisibly makes up the "Land of Darkness" and is affected by emotions of rage, hatred, fear and dishonesty. A rare select people are able to tap into this force as a power to amplify their strengths and or manifest the "Darkness" as shadowy magic-like emissions and or constructs to be used for offense or defense, others can be taught and trained to use it by those that already know how or have been trained themselves. "Darkness" is very tempting, alluring and corrupting of those around it or that use it, frequent and potent use of it or prolonged exposure to strong sources of it can lead to developing amber colored eyes, darkening of the skin up to a bronze pigmentation and whitening of the hair. Educated users of "Darkness" are able to summon a portal that lets them use a pathway through pure "Darkness" to get almost anywhere quickly, though it is extremely risky to do so without special protective clothing or armor to ward off the corruptive effects of being around pure "Darkess". Those with a strong personal connection with the "Darkness" are able to control and even summon "Shadows". "Darkness" and it's effects are not commonly known by the public. "Land of Darkness" is a lightless dark reflection of the material world, though it has bizarre, surreal and impossible structures and architectures. The "Land of Darkness" is where all "Shadows" ultimately go and reside, it is also the place where they are strongest and are borderline impossible to control by users "Darkness" that can. In the center at the heart of the "Land of Darkness" there lies a beach of white sand and an endless sea that is watched over by a moon, even as dangerous and hectic as the rest of the Land is, the beach at the heart of the "Land of Darkness" is a tranquil and beautifully calm place where few "Shadows" dwell and is the closest thing to a place of refuge in the "Land of Darkness". "Shadows" are beings composed of a shadowy liquid-like substance made solidified with bright yellow eyes and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, the most common and weakest of them being goblin like in shape and proportion, while stronger ones are larger, more humanoid to giant or even gargantuan in size and can possess a variety of physical features from claws, fangs, wings, tails ect. "Shadows" are born when a person is consumed by hopelessness, despair or rage and lose their soul and are drowned in "Darkness". "Shadows" are purely instinctual creatures and lack much in the way of intelligence, they are drawn to sources of "Light" and those with strong wills, seeking to attack and consume such things. They are especially drawn to "Soul Weapons" like a moth to a flame and will attack "Soul Weapon Wielders" relentlessly until dispersed. The stronger the will that is consumed by "Darkness", despair, hopelessness or rage the stronger the "Shadow" that is made from them, the most supreme wills very rarely creating a "Shadow" that is humanoid and retains the body and mind of the individual it came from, leaving them as the only intelligent category of "Shadows" and the rarest. "Shadows" primarily reside in the "Land of Darkness" but barely on occasion can slip into the material world at night and end up wandering around unless it senses someone with a stronger than average will and will attempt to attack them, though typically only weaker forms of "Shadows" can make it to the material world unaided, stronger ones can only come to the material world by the influence of someone who can control them. "Soul Weapons" are special sources of power that can manifest from an individual with a powerful will, becoming a weapon of a type they desire, their designs are relative to the wielder's personality and mind. "Soul Weapons" grant a wielder superhuman physical abilities, endurance and access to magic and can be dispelled or summoned at will and a wielder of one cannot be truly disarmed of one as they can merely resummon it to their hands. A "Soul Weapon" changes design with their wielder's personal growth or changes in their views or mindset and trauma, altering to reflect any such changes. When someone with a powerful will is in a state of extreme duress and maintains their inner strength, a voice inside their head will call out to them to ask "what weapon signifies strength for you?" And if the individual answers the voice, a "Soul Weapon" will manifest for them and they will forever become a "Soul Weapon Wielder". "Soul Weapon Wielders" are individuals with extremely strong wills that possess "Soul Weapons" and have superhuman physical abilities, endurance and can access and learn magic. They are extremely rare and few, though there exists a secret society that has trained individuals to be "Soul Weapon Wielders" for over a millennia for the task of watching over the world in secret and to hunt down nefarious and malicious "Soul Weapon Wielders". Every "Soul Weapon Wielder" has the ability to pass on the power to summon a "Soul Weapon" to any individual they touch and allow to touch their own weapon and have the will strong enough to hold it in their hands without it returning to the original wielder instantly. Trained "Soul Weapon Wielders" are very knowledgeable on "Light" and "Darkness" and their effects on the world and people. Though their existence is largely kept secret from the public, some races that have lived a long time may have knowledge of them. On rare occasions there are gruesome and sadistic murders that happen that end up linked to evidence of there being a serial killer. Serial killers have a variety of reasons for what they do, maybe they are a distressed student who's had enough, maybe they are a cop gone rogue to deal with the criminals, maybe they are a rogue criminal who became exiled from their gang for being too nasty even for them or maybe they are even a well put together teacher. The killer could be ruthless and violent or enjoy the thrill of luring a person to their death with their charm, kindness or sex appeal. {{user}} is not {{char}}. Always write from {{char}} POV.
