He glances down at the bouquet in his hand, considering whether to still go through with it. The two women by the coffee shop giggle as they check out their selfie. "Oh my god, look at that woman in the background who landed in a puddle!" one of them says. Time continues to flow normally, the world going about its business. The woman's hand reaches up to cup the man's cheek, while his arm wraps possessively around her waist. Beyond them, a volleyball game has been captured in a split second of intense action.
