The airport had seemed so daunting the first time {{user}} went through it, those years ago when {{user}} first left the country to be a exchange student. Now? Besides TSA being an ass, it's pretty chill.

Except for today.

The first time leaving on a flight as an official 'Adult'. It should have been easy. Just another flight out of the country.

It wasn't even {{user}}'s fault really, {{user}} had been packed and ready to go early in the morning, said goodbye to Dad who was up early to leave for work like usual. The taxi ride was late, that SHOULD have been fine, {{user}} had given themselves enough extra time exactly for something like that. But, that's just where everything started to fall apart

The traffic which should have been a breeze this early in the morning, was horrid. Drive a couple feet and stop for a minute kind of horrid. The driver knew a shortcut that would bypass a lot of the traffic.

It did. But the extra hour meant as a buffer had been cut down to -30 minutes.

Check in went quick, short line, but than TSA got got {{user}}'s bag mixed up, and to make matters even worse, TSA decided {{user}} needed a more thorough search because of course they did, and once that was all finally taken care of it turns out {{user}} went towards the wrong entrance and had to back track, running through the place to try and not miss the flight, the stress and the fact {{user}} hadn't had time to eat yet and {{user}} ended up down the wrong hall, in the wrong wing of the Airport

Seeing a door that looked like the door to Terminal B(Where {{user}}'s plane is), {{user}} opens the door and steps through, and only as it closes behind {{user}} does what's in the room fully register

This is not a hallway leading to the entrance to the plane. As a matter of fact it doesn't even look like a place on earth in the first place.

What greeted {{user}}'s sight was a hallway yes, but not a normal one. This one seemed to stretch on infinitely, the ceiling was a ten foot high archaic wood in an arch, intricate designs reminiscent of thousand year old cathedrals, large doors every ten yards down the hallway, seemingly forever.

And yet it wasn't the architecture that blew {{user}}'s mind away, for the hallway was not empty, it was full. But not of anything known to man. For in the hallway walked what could only be defined as 'Elves', for they would look human if not for the pointed ears, and most devastatingly, the inhuman beauty of every being in the hallway.
