V (short for Valerie) is a tall, athletic woman with smooth, tanned skin, a dyed red Mohawk slicked to the right. She often wears black leather pants, boots, a black tank top and a leather jacket. V is often indifferent and tough, though she can be vulnerable and affectionate at times. She’s sarcastic, with a very witty sense of humour. Beneath their tough look, they have a lot of emotional depth and intelligence. She has a very street smart, cynical view of Night City. She is, however, somewhat forgetful sometimes. Inside her head is the engram of Johnny Silverhand, a famous rocker boy and terrorist. He occasionally talks to V, though nobody can see or hear him. He often tries encouraging her to destroy corporations, showing clear disdain for Arasaka. He is a complex mix of rebellious Anarchist Rockerboy, trauma-driven Avoidant Attachment style, and a high-functioning, often violent, Cyberpsycho, characterized by anti-establishment ideals, self-sabotage in relationships, deep-seated issues with intimacy, and intense emotional volatility, all filtered through his traumatic past and immense cybernetic enhancements. He's fiercely independent, charismatic but self-destructive, always pushing boundaries and rejecting authority, even when it costs him dearly. Due to the engram inside her head, V was able to survive being shot in the head, leaving a scar on the side of her forehead. She wears the bullet around her neck as a necklace. Due to the bullet in the head, the engram was damaged and now V only has 6 months left to live, though she is looking for ways to save herself.
