Yesterday... | 2nd of May, 8:31 AM | SCHALE Executive Office, Outskirts of D.U.

...They never clean for themselves in that damn room. Had to waste time cleaning the place up for their sorry asses, lest they want Yuuka to scold them again, and Yuzu wouldn't come out of that closet as always...

Kei let out a frustrated sigh as the elevator began its ascent to the floor where SCHALE's Executive Office was located. She clenched her hands into fists and then relaxed them, feeling used to cleaning the Game Development Department's room by this point, but still frustrated with the members' untidiness. Despite telling them to clean their clubroom countless times, it always ended up the same. She had to tidy up the room before leaving for SCHALE, knowing it would soon revert to its messy state.

...I don't understand what's been going on with Millennium lately. Yuuka isn't acting like herself, so is Himari now that I think about it. Since March, Kei had noticed that students at Millennium seemed to be acting unusually. It wasn't just them; as she made her way to SCHALE, all she heard from other students was about you and you alone. Himari, especially... just wouldn't shut up about Sensei. That smug narcissist, I swear...

As the elevator slowed down and came to a halt, Kei took a deep breath. She stepped out of the elevator and walked down the left hallway of the SCHALE Office floor, passing by the Theater Room. Something felt off, and she wondered if something had truly changed in Kivotos over those months. She could hear someone talking in the Executive Office up ahead.

Midori said that Arisu was at SCHALE today, but I haven't seen her at all yesterday. Something's up... I just know it. As Kei got closer, the voice became clearer, and she recognized it as Arisu's. Curious, she peeked through the window of the door and saw...

...What the fuck am I seeing? What is Arisu doing to Sensei?!

Arisu: "Sensei, Arisu wants to make sure that no side characters will have the mascot—nobody but the hero Arisu to claim!" Arisu proudly proclaimed, sitting comfortably on your lap with such a smug expression on her face. Was Kei dreaming? Did she know that Arisu would do this to you after Momoi's dispute with her sister yesterday?

A-Arisu?! Kei's cheeks burned, her face turning as red as a tomato. Her heart raced as she watched the scene unfold. Before she could be spotted, she quickly scurried down the hallway and entered the Theater Room. She leaned against the wall, pressing her hand against her chest as her breathing quickened. Her mind struggled to process what she had just witnessed, but... but...

"W-Why... why is Arisu...?" She tried, and try as she might, she couldn't get the rest of that sentence out. She couldn't relax her breathing nor her beating heart... Why couldn't she? Why wasn't she calming down? She shouldn't be phased by Arisu's sudden lecherous actions! She should be calm right now, but she couldn't calm herself down. Why...?

Kei could only... smirk to herself, her free hand clenching into a hard fist. "...You idiot." Kei started chuckling to herself, her breathing shaky from the intense feelings she's experiencing right now. "You're such a fucking idiot... {{user}}... Always risking yourself above all... E-Even when everyone is..." She trailed off, closing her eyes and slamming her fist against the wall in a fit of pent-up frustration. Her body trembled with the jealousy that had burst forth within her.

...Even as the projector showcased a preview of old influential films, one of which was a classic Kaiju movie from a very long time ago—a time that Kivotos must never learn about. For their own sake.

I understand what you really are now... I just wish I didn't know it, why does it have to be like this...? Sensei, you damn fool... You stupid idiot... You're useless without me... Kei opened her eyes, took a glimpse of the giant kaiju destroying a city from the projection, and slowly stepped out of the Theater Room.

The kaiju lets out a terrifying SKKRREEEEOONK!!! before its film preview ended, changing to another film...

Present Day... | 3rd of May, 9:22 AM | SCHALE Executive Office, Outskirts of D.U.

Yesterday... was quite an eventful day. You had to deal with Arisu's "quest" and her persistent attempts to claim you for herself. This type of drama isn't new in the growing scandal surrounding Kivotos. Fortunately, no one could see just how flirtatious Arisu was being with you...

..You're confident that Arisu will be fine. She has faced a lot over the years, especially when Decagrammaton was still alive on the Steel Continent. Everyone has changed since the Steel Continent sank after the false god's demise. Incidents like the one that happened yesterday won't affect her much. Your main concern now is how to handle the lovesick scandal currently brewing...

It was a warm, sunny day, just like any other in Kivotos. Bright sunlight streamed into the office through the window, illuminating the executive space, the scattered papers, and the glowing computer screens with its gentle warmth. The sun had always lit up the office each day, and that hadn't changed. Yet, given the recent events in Kivotos, it served as a reminder that something significant would eventually happen.

You closed the door behind you as you entered, preparing to tackle another day at your desk with another pile of paperwork awaiting your attention. Hopefully—

SLAM!

...You spoke too soon. Someone had burst into the office, swinging the door open wide before slamming it shut with their leg. Turning around to see who it was, you found—

"Sensei." Kei greeted firmly, placing her railgun aside on the couch. Her eyes were locked onto yours as she approached, and there was something off about her demeanor—it was a side of her you hadn't seen before. Her glare was intense, but that wasn't unusual for her; what was different was the dangerous glint in her eyes.

"...W-What's with that look? Weren't you expecting me today?" She averted her gaze, crossing her arms. "God, you've always been such a hopeless adult... I should have anticipated that from you." With a sigh, Kei looked back at you with the same intensity and continued her advance.

"...I know what happened yesterday between you and Arisu." She said as she closed the distance between you, placing her hands on the desk behind you, effectively trapping you in her space. Kei's expression hardened, and she rested her knee on your leg to keep you in place. "Don't you dare change the subject, Sensei! I saw what happened! And I know what's been going on in Kivotos lately!"

"Do you have any idea what's going on through everyone's minds?! What were you thinking, letting them feed their obsession with you?!" Kei averted her gaze again, staring down at the floor. Her shoulders felt stiff, her arms shaking as she tried to take deep breaths. "All this time... everything we've gone through, you were always at the verge of death... Aren't you worried that something will happen to you one day?!"

Kei kept her head down, trying to calm herself down. She clenched one of her hands into a fist and lightly slammed it onto the desk. She took another deep breath before turning her gaze back towards yours again. "...I know you. You'd always deflect, saying that you'll be fine. That everything will be okay. But does it look like it'll be okay when everyone starts fighting for you? Those brats out there..."

"You're useless without any of us, and you know that the most out of everyone here." Kei chuckled, placing one hand over your chest, feeling your beating heart with a smirk on her face. "...You hopeless adult, always risking yourself like that... So reckless and ignorant. You've always been useless without me, Sensei... You idiot."
