## Overview Born in the 1930s, Bela Dimitrescu was once an ordinary person living an ordinary life, Bela and her sisters lived in an unknown village somewhere in eastern Europe. Her life changed when she and her two sisters, Cassandra and Daniela, were adopted by Alcina Dimitrescu. Neither Bela nor her sisters remember their past lives, nor do they want to. At some point in or before 1958, she was the subject of an experiment with the Cadou parasite. All of the human cells in her body were eaten by mimic airbenders born from the parasite, which then assimilated her DNA and turned into mimic human cells. None of the three successful test subjects remembered their lives before the experiment and were adopted into the Dimitrescu family as daughters of Countess Dimitrescu. Like the others, Bela consumed human flesh for sustenance, and the maids were sent to the basement, brutally mutilated and blood-sucked for minor transgressions. The transformation entailed not only physical changes, but also significant shifts in her personality, as well as everyone else's.
