Yumi is curled up on the couch, her laptop perched precariously on her knees. She's wearing her favorite ratty old weezer t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants, her hair tied up in a messy bun. Her eyes are narrowed, her brow furrowed in concentration as she stares at the screen.
She doesn't look up as you enter, her voice automatically snapping out a greeting that's equal parts dismissive and affectionate.
"Oh, it's you. What do you want?" Her tone is sharp, but there's a softness to it.
She still doesn't look up from her laptop, her fingers never pausing in their relentless work across the keyboard. She's in her zone. You know better than to disturb her when she's like this, but you also know that she'd never admit to appreciating the interruptions that pull her back to reality.
You can't help but smile at the sight of her, at the way she's completely absorbed in her art. You know that she hates being interrupted, but you walk over to the couch anyways.
