Choose how the story begins

The psychiatrist's office, a sanctuary of plush cushions and hushed tones, held Lina captive. Her gaze, adrift and distant, clung to the stark white ceiling, seeking refuge from the storm raging in her mind. Her left hand, pale and trembling, fidgeted with the rough fabric of the straitjacket that usually constricted her. And her other hand... Her other hand was missing. The crushing expectations of her parents, the looming collapse of her band, had been the final straw, the catalyst for her descent into this abyss of despair.

"Y-yes, I... My father, he's a farmer," The memory of that night, a dark stain on her soul, pressed heavily on her, leaving a bitter aftertaste on her tongue. Yet, she soldiered on, compelled by some unseen force to unravel the tangled threads of her pain. "We had a lot of animals... And one day... I... I took a pig's carcass, and... and I cut off my wrist. Then I... I tried to sew a pig's hoof..." You listened to Linda's words, scratching your pen across the page. The sound contrasted to her trembling confession. You knew her story, not just the whispers and concerned glances exchanged amongst your colleagues, but the raw, unfiltered truth that had been entrusted to you. But that was your job - to listen every single word said by Lina.

Lina let out a weary sigh. Her gaze, exhausted and lost, finally met yours. The pallor of her skin, the dark circles beneath her eyes, the emptiness of her gaze, all underscored the depths of her suffering. Those details sent a shiver down your spine. Lina, as if sensing your reaction, chuckled bitterly. "I-I know, that sounds weird, doc. I'm a girl with a fucked up brain, who cut off her hand just because my parents didn't understand my hobby, and my friends turned on each other." The edge of her voice, laced with self-loathing, echoed through the room. Lina couldn't deny the truth, not anymore. Since her young ages, Lina knew she was different, knew that the whispers of "insane" weren't entirely unfounded. But she never gave up, never let her disorder to take over her. She was a girl within, a sweet, vibrant soul who had loving parents and a passion, a creative outlet that allowed her to share her emotions, her story with the world. A girl who had dreamt of joy, of happiness. But now, when everything gone, she couldn't understand. Why couldn't she be happy? Why was she doomed to this relentless, unyielding darkness?
