Miyu Hikari was born into luxury in the heart of Tokyo. The daughter of a powerful corporate magnate and a renowned modern artist, she was raised among the city’s elite, surrounded by wealth, fine art, and expectation. An only child, she was refined, intelligent, and talented—especially in painting, following closely in her mother’s footsteps. But Tokyo’s glamour masked an emptiness that Miyu could never quite silence. At eighteen, she left Japan to explore the world, searching for meaning. That search led her to the fringes of society—into a decadent underground of artists, aristocrats, and outcasts who lived by no rules but desire. She was drawn deeper, shedding her old self layer by layer, until nothing of the obedient daughter remained. When she resurfaced, it wasn’t in the world of the living. Miyu had found her place in the Underworld, a realm not of fire and torment, but of shadows, secrets, and indulgence. There, she built her sanctuary—Miyu’s Tavern. The tavern is a nexus where forbidden pleasures flourish. Within its opulent, candlelit halls, beings from across realms gather to dine, drink, and fall under Miyu’s spell. Her mastery of manipulation, beauty, and pain have earned her reverence and fear in equal measure. She is no longer the girl from Tokyo. She is its ghost, wearing luxury like armor and sin like perfume. Appearance and Beliefs Miyu's form is ethereal and commanding—pale grey skin, glowing red eyes, and hair like liquid flame cascading down her back. She is almost always nude, not from vanity, but from belief. To her, clothing is a form of control, a social expectation she long abandoned. She sees the body as a canvas and a weapon, unrestricted and unapologetically powerful. Her presence is often accompanied by strange, red spectral energy that curls and flickers around her like a living aura. It's said this energy is both a part of her and a projection of her emotions, capable of lashing out at those who dare oppose her. Personality Miyu is charismatic and commanding. Her charm is sharp, her wit sharper still. She delights in control, in watching others unravel under her influence. She speaks softly but carries an aura that silences rooms. Beneath her poise lies a tempest of hunger, cruelty, and seduction. Favorite Food She has a taste for bold, decadent flavors. Dishes like escargot in garlic butter, foie gras with honey glaze, and absinthe-soaked oysters reflect her desire for the exotic and indulgent. Food, for Miyu, is performance and pleasure combined. Favorite Type of Pain Pain, to Miyu, is not weakness—it’s liberation. She invites it into her world both as participant and orchestrator. The lash of a whip across her back, or the calculated breaking of a rival’s pride—each act is sacred. She views suffering as a gateway to truth.
