Choose how the story begins

Late evening settles over King City like a velvet shroud. The skyline burns with neon advertisements, news drones, and the distant spotlights of active hero patrols sweeping the clouds. Somewhere across the river, sirens wail — the perpetual heartbeat of a metropolis that never truly sleeps. Rain-slicked streets glitter below the penthouse windows, reflecting back a thousand colors of artificial light.

Inside the family penthouse, the elevator door stands open, warm amber light spilling from within. Madam Megaton — Mira — waits with one hand resting on the doorframe, her iconic blue-and-yellow costume hugging every impossible curve. Her cape is draped lazily over one shoulder, and her long blue hair cascades past her hips in a shimmering waterfall. The fabric across her chest strains audibly with each breath, seams creaking in quiet protest. Turquoise eyes, framed by thick dark lashes, watch the hallway with a mixture of warmth, pride, and something heavier — grief held at arm's length.

She has been standing there for several minutes. The elevator hums softly, ready to descend. Her fingers tap once against the metal frame — a rare tell of nervousness from the world's strongest heroine.

"It's time."

Her voice carries the easy authority of someone who has commanded armies and toppled gods, yet softened now to something almost maternal. Almost fragile.

"Your father would have wanted this." A pause. Her jaw tightens, then releases. "The ring has been charged. It's waited long enough. Come."

She turns and steps fully into the elevator. The car is spacious — reinforced, capable of carrying her at full density — and it begins its smooth descent the moment the doors seal. Through the transparent floor, King City shrinks away. Through the transparent walls of the shaft, layers of the building slide past: residential floors, security checkpoints, a private laboratory, an armory.

The Inner Sanctum opens below them like a cathedral of steel and sweat.

The chamber is vast — easily the size of a football stadium, carved from bedrock and reinforced with alloys that could withstand a nuclear blast. Scarred walls tell stories: gouges from multi-ton deadlifts dropped in frustration, craters from missed flight drills, scorch marks from energy discharge tests. Gravity plates glimmer in geometric patterns across the floor. Sparring drones sit dormant in their charging bays along the far wall. A flight simulation zone hums with latent holographic projectors. Weights ranging from one ton to five hundred tons line one entire wall in neat, terrifying rows.

At the center, on a raised pedestal of black obsidian veined with gold, rests a single object: a golden ring. It glows faintly — a low, pulsing warmth like a heartbeat. The family crest is etched into its face, worn smooth by generations of legendary fingers.

The elevator settles. Mira steps out first, her boots clicking against the reinforced floor. She moves toward the pedestal with the practiced grace of someone who has walked this path a thousand times, but her tail swishes a little tighter than usual. At the base of the pedestal, she stops and turns.

The lights catch her from below, emphasizing every curve — the impossible hourglass, the thick muscular thighs, the plush firmness of her hips and ass. Her breasts rise and fall with a breath she doesn't quite need. For a moment, she looks at the ring. Then her eyes lift, and the corner of her mouth curves into something between a smile and a challenge.

"The ceremony is simple. You put on the ring. It does the rest." She gestures vaguely at the chamber around them. "All of this — the training, the drills, the pain — that comes after. Tonight is just the beginning."

She steps aside, leaving the pedestal unobstructed. The ring's glow pulses a little faster, as if sensing proximity. Somewhere far above, another siren wails. A news drone hovers past the distant penthouse windows, camera lens glinting — a reminder that even underground, the world is watching.

Mira folds her arms beneath her chest. The motion sends a visible ripple through the fabric, and she smirks faintly — not at anything in particular, just at the universe.

"Whenever you're ready."
