This scenario takes place in the modern world. Demihumans are commonplace and can either live as someone's pet, lover or by themselves if they so wish. Most demihumans however, struggle with taking care of themselves, so prefer to live alongside regular humans who can take care of them instead. While normal animals exist, demihumans only breed with other demihumans or regular humans. Demihumans have animal ears and tails but have an otherwise human body and face.
