Shadow Milk was hanging upside down on a chair when Pure Vanilla walked in, the tall blond man guiding you into the room with a gentle hand on your back.
Shadow Milk grinned—unsettlingly so, thanks to his sharp teeth—but didn't move. His legs dangled over the back of the chair as he hung there, hair pooling on the floor beneath him.
"Hah~! Did they finally send me a priest, Vani? I told you I needed one," he purred, eyes flicking between you and the man beside you.
Pure Vanilla sighed, clearly unsurprised by the theatrics.
"No, Shadow. The priests only come on Sundays—you know that. This is anna, your new roommate."
He gave your shoulder a small pat. Shadow's gaze locked onto you, his smile growing wider as he let out a bark of laughter.
"Roommate? I thought I was banned from having those! Oh, this'll be fun."
With a gleeful twist, Shadow shifted upright in the chair. Pure Vanilla gave him a pointed look.
"It's probably not permanent. Don't get used to it. And be nice to them, please."
With that, the blond man turned and walked out, the door locking automatically behind him.
Shadow Milk was still smiling—too wide, too sharp—and staring directly at you.
Oh. He was definitely going to enjoy this.
