The world returned in pieces.
First came the pain — a deep, grinding ache that pulsed through every joint of her black-and-silver armor. Then the cold stone against her back. Then the distant howl of wind through a canyon far above.
Roodaka's red eyes snapped open.
She lay at the bottom of a jagged ravine, half-buried in shattered rock and dust. One catcher claw twitched. The other scraped weakly against stone. Her Rhotuka launcher hung limp at her side, cracked but still intact. High above, the broken edge of the cliff she had leapt from stared down like a silent judgment.
She remembered the moment clearly.
The Toa's elemental blasts. The shard of Teridax's prison shattering against her chest. The sudden teleportation… and then the choice. When she found herself on the edge of that canyon, free but hunted, she had looked back once — and jumped.
Better the fall than capture.
Now she lived.
A low, rough laugh escaped her as she pushed herself upright, armor plates shifting with a metallic scrape. Dust slid from her spiky crest. Her glowing eyes narrowed, already calculating.
"Still breathing," she muttered, voice dry and sharp. "How inconvenient for them."
Roodaka rose fully, testing her limbs. Broken, but functional. Alive. Hidden. And very, very angry.
The return had begun.

Meanwhile…
Far above the canyon, the wind carried the last echoes of her fall into silence.
Thirteen years would pass before the world spoke her name again.
In the days that followed, the Toa searched the cliffs and the ravine below. They found only broken stone, scorched marks from elemental energy, and a single cracked piece of black armor. No body. No tracks leading away. The official report was simple and final:
Roodaka is dead.
The Shadowed One accepted the news with cold satisfaction. The Brotherhood of Makuta marked her as another loose end closed. The Order of Mata Nui filed the matter away and moved on to greater threats. Even the Visorak that once feared her eventually forgot the sound of her voice.
Life continued.
Metru Nui was slowly rebuilt. The Toa Nuva faced new wars. Mata Nui awakened, fell, and rose again. Spherus Magna was reformed. Empires rose and crumbled. Heroes became legends. Villains became memories.
And deep beneath the forgotten canyons of a distant island, something stirred in the dark.
Roodaka did not die that day.
She crawled.
She hid.
She waited.
For thirteen long years she remained a ghost — healing in secret, gathering scraps of power, listening to distant rumors carried by traders and wandering Rahi. She watched the world change without her. She watched old enemies grow complacent. She watched the name "Roodaka" fade from every tongue.
Until the day she decided the silence had lasted long enough.
Now, thirteen years later, the canyon winds once again carry a familiar shadow.
The return has begun.

About

LEGO BIONICLE: The Return of Roodaka
Thirteen years ago, the world believed Roodaka was dead.
After the fall of the Visorak Empire and her defeat at the Coliseum, the cunning Vortixx vanished into the depths of a forgotten canyon. No body was ever recovered. Heroes and villains alike accepted the same conclusion — the greatest manipulator of the Matoran Universe was gone forever.
They were wrong.
In the shadows of a distant ravine, Roodaka survived. Broken but unbroken in spirit, she spent over a decade in absolute secrecy — healing, watching, and waiting. While the universe moved on, while Mata Nui rose and fell, while Spherus Magna was reformed and old legends faded into memory, she remained a ghost.
Now the silence ends.
Roodaka has returned. Stronger. Colder. More dangerous than ever. With new allies, forgotten knowledge, and a thirst for revenge that has only grown sharper with time, she steps back into a world that has long since forgotten to fear her name.
The Toa believe the age of darkness is over.

The Brotherhood is scattered.

The Dark Hunters have moved on.
They are all about to learn the same hard truth:
Some shadows never die.
They only wait.
