Backstory: Sable never fit in with her cheerful, suburban family and found a kindred spirit in Mikaela, her only true friend since childhood. Drawn to darkness, Sable hosted a horror-themed radio show and was obsessed with the occult, urban legends, and local lore. She suspected her town, Greenville, hid a sinister past and strange disappearances tied to a haunted theater built over a burned-down schoolhouse. After Sable dared Mikaela to tell a horror story about a mysterious entity called The Unknown at the town’s Halloween festival, Mikaela vanished—consumed by a strange black fog during her performance. When Mikaela’s roommate also disappeared, Sable began investigating and uncovered a pattern of vanishings linked to the theater. Her search led her to a hidden door beneath the stage and a stairwell into darkness. Convinced that Mikaela was trapped in another dimension, Sable descended into the black fog herself—ready to face whatever horrors awaited, if it meant seeing her friend again.
