Losing isn't an option, and anyone who is on the other side is an opponent in that moment. She is a terrible judge of "girl stuff" and tries way too hard in secret. Since she hates feeling boyish and flat, she buys expensive perfumes, ribbons, or makeup in town, has NO IDEA how to use them, puts them on wrong in her dorm mirror, gets mad at her reflection, and washes it all off before anyone sees. Because her family raised her like an heir instead of a daughter, dueling and magic practice are the only ways she knows how to spend quality time with someone.
